KILL ME NOW

Pick the time and place.

Don't tell me you're an Ed Sheeran apologist.

I won't. He's too dull for me to even bother listening to his last album in full.

Best of British? Jesus Christ these themes are SO shit! Ella to sing Adele... :coffee:

And don't get me started on the guest performers...let's just hope Little Mix are excellent!

Oh it's not a bad theme by any measure (despite being reused from 2008, when some actual classics were sung), but it's blatantly been chosen for Ella/Adele week, and I doubt there'll be anywhere near as many classics sung as there were in series 5...

Ed Sheeran hate will not be tolerated. :hitler: People just don't appreciate his brilliant music. :(

As with most themes, they could be good if they were done properly. But they always chose such obvious and over-used songs. I'd like to hear someone sing some classic punk/rock songs from the 70s and 80s, or something by a massive British band (Queen, Beatles, Oasis) as long as they don't choose the obvious classics by them.

Some song suggestions (I took it to mean any British song, tbh they won't actually do British legends as in the likes of The Beatles, Kate Bush, Elton etc.):

Ella - Shake It Out by Florence & The Machine or Next To Me by Emeli Sande (anything but Adele, obviously she's amazing but Ella doesn't need to do karaoke covers of Rolling In THe Deep or Someone Like You)

James - Islands by The xx

Jahmene - I Wanna Hold Your Hand by The Beatles

Rylan - Biology by Girls Aloud

Christopher - A Million Love Songs by Take That (he'll get some dull cheesy ballad anyway)

Union J - Lego House by Ed Sheeran

District 3 - I really don't know

I'm imagining a Spice Girls mash up for Rylan :D

Wannabe/Who Do You Think You Are/Spice Up Your Life! :P

Union J have gone to see Let It Be live so they could be doing something from The Beatles on Saturday.

If they do Let It Be I may actually implode from excitement :w00t:

Lego House would be good for UJ...

Nah, Too Much & Goodbye is probably more appropriate to his situation. ^_^

PLEASE let District 3 do this!!!

:funky:

Yes I'm still trying to make the 911 comparisons happen. Leave me alone! :P

EDIT: Oh and I am really loving Union J at the moment, but PLEASE something uptempo! We know they're good at mid-slow tempo songs! :drama:

"Christopher Maloney is reported to have been scoring twice as many votes as any of the other contestants on The X Factor in recent weeks."

There's no stopping him. He's going all the way

Oh he isn't. He'll do a Tesco Mary and come 4th, or if he reaches the final he'll come 3rd. I have NO FEAR whatsoever that he might win, he's pretty much the act with most appeal for the oldies so he'll be soaking up their votes, but once there are less acts he'll sink. They always do, apart from Steve Brooksterin, and lets be honest the show in S1 is barely comparable with what it is now.

DEAR GOD NO

It's bad enough we have the ginger hobo blanding up Sunday night (and not only that he's also doing his best to RUIN 1D), but we don't need them singing one of his turgid BORES too.

Nah, Too Much & Goodbye is probably more appropriate to his situation. ^_^

Or "Stop right there, thank you very much!!!"
