I've been thinking about this all day haha. Are there any albums that sold A LOT/a lot but never reached #1?

(yay at me posting a thread in the Chart forum for the first time in like 3 years)

((soz if this has already been covered - I don't think me searching for it would be a productive idea))

The Dirty Dancing soundtrack 2.9m sales peaked at #4 when OSTs were allowed in the regular chart.

War of the worlds 2.5m+ sales peaked at #5

Pixie Lott - Turn It Up has sold nearly 900,000 and didin't even make the top 5!
Come on Over by Shania Twain? I mean in the USA though, but it's still worth a mention considering it sold over 20 million there.
One of the best albums of all time.Meat Loaf Bat out of Hell. Never got higher than no 9 spent 470 + weeks on the album chart.
I knew someone might put BOOH too! That's the first I could think of when it comes to big selling albums but not a #1. I can't remember the others.

In UK:

Westlife - Westlife

With this, Westlife achieved five #1 singles from the same album in less than a year, a record that remains unbroken to date.

The album entered and peaked in the UK Albums Chart at #2, being beaten by only 1,000 sales from Steptacular by Steps.

It was the 8th best selling album of 1999 in the UK and ended up being certified 4× Platinum. The album spent 74 weeks in the UK Top 100 Albums chart.

Britney Spears - Baby One More Time

# 2 with 3 x Platinum.

Steps - Step One

In 2000, the album was certified 5× Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry for selling over 1.4 million copies in UK. Only # 2 in Albums chart.
