November 16, 201213 yr Probably more interesting than next week's - Girls Aloud #1, everybody else miles behind... I don't think it's that much of a foregone conclusion that they'll beat Olly, although I'm hoping. Anyway, for today's there are no real surprises for me except McFly still as high as #7. I think Little Mix could certainly be #4 on Sunday though. :o Shame Christina's album just keeps on sliding.
November 16, 201213 yr So Kylie is at 24 - hopefully will go back into the top 20 with the performances this weekend
November 16, 201213 yr Author So Kylie is at 24 - hopefully will go back into the top 20 with the performances this weekend oops sorry down 13 down to 20, my mistake, mind you the album chart did not help one bit as they are marked as all new entries for last week's column.
November 16, 201213 yr I don't think it's that much of a foregone conclusion that they'll beat Olly, although I'm hoping. [/quote If Olly beats Girls Aloud, they should return the favour with a big stick... :w00t:
November 16, 201213 yr oops sorry down 13 down to 20, my mistake, mind you the album chart did not help one bit as they are marked as all new entries for last week's column. OMG Martin, I thought you meant down 13 from the first midweek position which made me think she was number 36 lol. The fact its risen 3 since the first undate is great though.
November 16, 201213 yr oops sorry down 13 down to 20, my mistake, mind you the album chart did not help one bit as they are marked as all new entries for last week's column. Ah well that's better then her Wednesday midweek of 23
November 16, 201213 yr Woah! Pleasantly shocked at McFly still being as high as #7! Don't really understand how though, it's been constantly falling since Wednesday's midweeks and is down to #14 now, and there's no physical to help it either... strange.
November 16, 201213 yr Its prob sold enough Sunday-Wednesday to get as high as 7 and the others are playing catch up now!
November 16, 201213 yr Looking like a 1D double. They will overtake Bruno by saturday, if not today.
November 16, 201213 yr Official chart According to this morning’s Official Charts Company sales data, One Direction could be on course to top both the Official Albums Chart AND the Official Singles Chart on Sunday. The British/Irish boyband’s new single, Little Things, which was Number 3 in Wednesday’s Official Singles Chart Update, has surged ahead of their fellow X Factor stars Little Mix’s latest track, DNA. Little Things is now only 1,500 copies behind current Official Singles Chart Number 1 race leader, Locked Out Of Heaven by Bruno Mars. Over on the Official Albums Chart, the band are still on course for their first ever Number 1 album with Take Me Home, which is outselling its closest competitor, Rod Stewart’s Merry Christmas Baby (Number 2), by nearly three copies to one. Since Monday, Take Me Home has sold over 123,000 copies, which puts it as a close contender for the fatest selling album of 2012. That record is currently held by Mumford And Sons' second album, Babel, which sold 158,000 copies during its first week on sale. Robbie Williams pulled off an Official Charts Double last Sunday (November 11) when his single Candy held onto Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, while his album, Take The Crown, debuted at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.
November 16, 201213 yr Author So that means Rod Stewart is on 41k with his Xmas album :o MW mid report added with the update.
November 16, 201213 yr Great work by One Direction reducing the lead from 16,000 to 1,500, they should officially end up number 1 on Sunday with pretty decent sales to go with it, likewise they are performing amazingly in the album chart as well. Could i just ask for some clarification is Kylie Minogue at number 20 or number 24 in the album chart??? Great to see Steps still in the top 30, no doubt the sales they achieve this week would usually be enough to make the top 10 at other times of the year but i do think they will end up getting the dreaded number 41 position on Sunday.

November 16, 201213 yr Author I'm afraid I can see OneD doing the double this weekend, they are going to benefit more from tonight's performance and with their album release this week, Little Mix will have to settle for the runners up position of #2. Bruno Mars can sink to #4, if Gabrielle's track get played on the TV ads over the weekend. That's my assessment of the top 4 singles.
