November 16, 201213 yr Do you get any information outside of the top 40? Just wondering how far The Fire has slipped?
November 16, 201213 yr Nice that Kylie has re-climbed from the previous midweek update, lets hope she keeps moving in the same direction for the remainder of the sales period left.

November 16, 201213 yr Unfortunately not, we only get a top 40 update these days. I was just wondering, but is there any sign of Leona in the top 40 on the albums chart?
November 16, 201213 yr So that means Rod Stewart is on 41k with his Xmas album :o It was always bound to do very well, it's has spent two weeks at #3 in the US already.
November 16, 201213 yr One Direction should go to number 1 easily if their on CIN, I must admit I'm quite surprised to see them holding up so well, considering Live While We're Young underperformed, guess a change in sound was really what they needed. (I still hate Little Things though)
November 16, 201213 yr It was always bound to do very well, it's has spent two weeks at #3 in the US already. And his sales only dropped 17% in his 2nd week in the US. It's going to be a big seller over Christmas!

I can see the Kylie album selling quite well over Xmas actually. It's so much better than I thought it would be, if she promotes it well by performing a good selection of the songs over the next few weeks, I think it could hold up quite well.

November 16, 201213 yr Probably more interesting than next week's - Girls Aloud #1, everybody else miles behind... Girls Aloud could easily be as low as #4 next week. Olly, Rudimental and Alicia will all be challenging for #1 as well, I could see it being any of them (more likely Olly or GA than the other two but still). They almost certainly won't be miles ahead. Fair play to 1D now looking like getting #1, it's more than a bit of a surprise but then this is how well I thought LWWY was going to do so I guess their major success was just delayed by a single for some reason! I still haven't even heard the song. Bruno has really severely underperformed though. I would say I'm glad but it's growing on me loads now, I actually wouldn't mind it being #1 any more. November 16, 201213 yr I've decided to finally listen to the One Direction song. The song is okay, I'm not sure if I'll listen to it again though. I agree it sounds very Ed Sheeran. I prefer it to The A Team, but I think it's worse than Lego House. My favourite One Direction song is still Gotta Be You. The single release date of Little Things is on 9th of December I think, I wonder if it'll get a boost in the charts like One Thing did on its release week. If this song gets to #1 officially this week, it'll be history in the making, the first ever song to be cherry-picked to #1 on album release week! Previous high was #3 last year, Best Thing I Never Had by Beyonce. Obviously both songs had the benefit of having live TV performances and radio airplay before the album got released however. I wonder when the first non-promoted album track will manage it, if it ever happens at all.
November 16, 201213 yr Leona is not top 40. Ok thank you :D Hopefully she can re-appear on Sunday with her performance on CIN tonight.

Previous high was #3 last year, Best Thing I Never Had by Beyonce. Erm didn't Viva La Vida get to #1 due to cherry picking from the album? And it might get a boost like One Thing did on release week, but only if there's a physical single like there was for One Thing.

Wasn't Viva La Vida the first cherry picked track to get to #1 from an album release, or did I dream it  oops beaten to it, looks like I was typing my post when the previous member was posting the above.
November 16, 201213 yr Christina Aguilera as low as #21 - ouch. I was expecting at least a top 5 debut and then a huge drop on its second week. If 'Bionic' managed #1 on 21k (?), it's strange to think 'Lotus' is likely to debut around 20 places lower, possibly on less than 10k. Indifferent about One Direction claiming a double #1, just interested to see if they can hold on to either title for at least another week; competition for the album #1 comes from Rihanna - they MAY be able to do it. Could fall as low as #5 on the singles chart though, if Girls Aloud, Olly Murs, Rudimental and Alicia Keys all debut as high as they are looking too.
