5!

:w00t: Better than i thought!!

Looks like Rudimental are 'slightly' under performing this week - thought it could have been top 5 but i suppose the lesson i never learn is that big dance follow-ups never perform as well in november as their summer singles - a july release would have seen the amazing track hit the top imo. But not to worry it should just be top 10 with the eps added, though that depends on how it holds up during the week!

Just heard the version of Girl On Fire with Nicki Minaj, and is there actually point in Nicki being in it? Her verses are SO out of place and don't seem to have any relevance to Alicia's verses.

I think shes on there for the younger radio stations to play her single - with nicki on there shes nearly gauranteed say radio 1 support. Shes always done this throughout her career too - going back to the immense busta rhymes remix of fallin!

DNA  #8

Locked Out Of Heaven  #9

I prefer the version with Nicki Minaj, it brings a bit of life to it ... or maybe I'm just used to that version more, I don't know.

That wasn't expected :o Pleasant surprised. However they would be overtaken by Alicia Keys soon :(

I'm looking forward to seeing how well "Change Your Life" will perform. It's received mostly positive feedback so far.

Her performance on X-Factor was the first time I heard 'Girl on Fire' without Nicki Minaj and it was good. I agree with Jack that Nicki's version gives it a bit more oomph.
Thought Rudimental would do FAR better, although it's pretty limp in comparison to Feel The Love. Fair play to Olly Murs with a lead like that, he's got to be the UK's most successful solo male at the moment (Ed Sheeran too I guess). Robbie will struggle to 'take the crown' back from those two...
Olly is slaughtering Girls Aloud, definite number 1 for Murs. He's on Daybreak on Tuesday as well performing and answering questions so that should help. Gonna be one of the fastest sellers of the year.

Tbh the #1 is on lock now for Olly. It will be can Girls Aloud get #2, only being .09 ahead of One direction after their fans have all rushed out to buy it and CIN and Strictly performances, it could be down to around #5 or #6 by the end of the week on Itunes.

She also had a Drake remix of Un-Thinkable from her last album (it was never released as a single here, but it's one of her most beautiful songs ever)!

'Un-Thinkable' is so beautiful! I'm so pleased it was a big hit in America iirc. I can see why it'd flop over here (far too urban for us), but it deserved it's success! Her last era on a whole was extraordinary. 'Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart' is one of my favourite ever songs now! Such a flawless urban-pop song!

Rudimental up to #14. I think they will climb into the top 10 tomorrow, they are moving a bit slowly right now but then IIRC 'Feel The Love' took its time to properly take off within its first week as well.

Daniel Bedingfield  to #70 with 'If You're Not The One' after Ella's final (:snif:) performance. DanBed having a bit of a mini-revival this past week what with 'Gotta Get Thru This' recently back in the top 200 due to being 59p as well :P

There is a version of Va Va Voom on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded the Re Up that is 59p, i wonder if that will help the song get a higher peak

I do believe it will surpass Cheryls fast selling single of the year status - maybe 170k this week?!

I like how the rate of posts on this thread has slowed down significantly since Olly Murs killed Girls Aloud's chances of getting to #1.

Could be final week in the top 75 singles chart for Gotye, just 6 weeks short of the year anniversary!!

The instrumental for Somebody That I Used To Know was used on Match Of The Day 2 so that might help it stay in the top 75.

That would be amazing but I can't see it selling that much in one week, I don't think GA will sell as many copies as people are predicting on here, so he won't have to sell THAT much. I reckon about 130k personally.
