Nowhere near as good as It's My Party, but still a very decent song. Think she needs to have a few like that on the album.

She has announced she has recorded duets with Mary J. Blige, Smokey Robinson and Pharrell, but hasn't stated which will be for her album and not their own albums. She has also announced that the album will be released next month for certain, so sometime late September.
I can see why "Excuse My Rude" wasn't chosen as the single but the song is a lot better than the title suggests and there's something about it that I really quite like, just narrowly beats "Wild" as the best thing from the era so far.

I actually think the best two songs so far from this era are 'Magnetic' and 'Hero' which probably aren't even going to be on the album.

Wild, It's My Party and Excuse My Rude are all good in their own way but all have annoying things in them too.

For me 'Hero' sounds like a soundtrack and is too far removed from her usual sound instrumentally that I don't think it would fit in the album. 'Magnetic' would make a fantastic bonus track I think, it is so catchy, for me, at the moment, the production makes it sound like a demo and would some tweaking but otherwise I agree, it is great and full of potential.

Live performance of 'Square One', growing on me quite a bit but I am still not 100% sure on it:

So so far we know at least titles for 9 of the album's 13 songs: Wild, It's My Party, Excuse My Rude, Square One, Daydreaming, Sexy Lady, Breathe, Conquer The World and Strip.

I've found this photo on ATRL forums:

So it looks like album is called 'Alive' and will be released on September 23rd!

If 'Alive' is the title, she definitely wasn't lying about it saying how she feels about her life !

Laughing so much

Anyway, I don't think the album title is that bad, it is much better than 'Grateful' or anything similar as was suggested when she described the meaning of the title. The cover isn't that bad either, at least it is better than the cover for 'Who You Are' even if it does just look like an updated version of the same cover

What a bland title. Not that I was expecting anything better.

I heard 'It's My Party' last night, honestly I was expecting it to be worse than it was - but that just shows how low my expectations were because it's still her 2nd worst single (not as bad as 'Who You Are') and I hate almost all of her singles.

Can this woman just retire early or something though PLEASE

I am both looking forward to this album....But VERY VERY hesitant as well.....

That is not a flattering picture of her either....

I agree with this tbh EXCEPT I don't actually mind the title - as far as one-word titles go, Alive is brilliant. It's not overused (I can only think of one other album called that) and it isn't as cliche as I thought it would be considering it is Jessie. I really dislike 'It's My Party' though. She has such great song titles which leads me to believe the songs are going to be just as good but they always disappoint me. :(

Jessie has RUINED herself this era imo, I adored Who You Are but Wild is OK at best and It's My Party is basically a reduced re-hash of Domino. I'll probably give her album a go but not getting my hopes up at all.

I do have to admit I am worried for this album. I still don't think it is going to do a Pixie Lott or anything nearly as bad but I really feel like the singles have kind of killed any hype for this, 'Wild' I enjoyed but isn't the most commercial and I can't see it really making many casual music buyers want to check out the album and launching the album of the back of such a generic song like 'It's My Party' is completely wrong,. I predict maybe 60k first week sales at the most and just over 300k overall :(
I like the singles well enough but I'm not excited for this at all really. I'll listen to it, but this reeks of doing a Young Foolish Happy quality wise (Llike Davidson said, the sales won't dive THAT much though). I jut hope there are songs that aren't rip-offs but capture the essence of Jessie, which was what I loved about Who You Are.
When she came with 'Price Tag' I completly loved her, but now I can't stand her. I think that she tries too hard and her music is so avarage .. I guess that her future isn't looking really good.
I think 'It's My Party' captures the essence of Jessie pretty perfectly, personally.

SHITE? :D

On a more serious note, 'Excuse My Rude' is a lot better than 'It's My Party' - which is dreadful generic mess. I've never been her biggest fan tbh, in fact I only really like 'Do It Like A Dude' 'Wild' and maybe one of the other singles from her first album, but they all kind of blend into one for me. OH, and I like 'Laserlight' when i'm pon de club floor drinking vodka.
