Oh LORD I haven't given any song lower than 15th anything. The most mainstream votes in the contest BY FAR. OOPS.

Yeah, 8th, 9th and 10th were worked out on 10s after they had same voters/same 12s - so Ryan, you are 13th, because you got 1 more 10. :P

I had BETTER get at least one entry in the rejects final, its the only way I can redeem this eternally floppy year! I'm hoping Anna Sun, Mezzanine or Can't Get Better Than This can stand a chance, I don't actually listen to the others at all any more, they've aged awfully. I'm guessing it was the right decision for them then :lol:

Thanks to everyone who said they enjoyed it, even though it seemed to go on like forever on the evening. I do think it will be the last one I host as I struggled to find the time this month to do the contest justice - but it was definitely worth the effort and obviously it was an honour to get to host the 50th contest. Definitely looking forward to Tom hosting in January though, wonder what he'll come up with for the first contest of 2013.

 

Fun stat: I now have over 18 pages of BJSCL related images in my Photobucket account!

I have no songs pre-qualified to TBO final for the first time ever :drama: Hopefully Delta and Prance Faris will make it, I can't see any of the others picking up enough support.

Ok, I'm pretty certain my main hopes for TBO are Dream Beats and Saint Saviour for each contest, I would LOVE Nightwish to get in to at least the semis (really should) but there's so much else that's almost certain to qualify from XLI I don't think it'll make it.

 

I really can't wait for it, love a bit of TBO where there's no REAL pressure to do well as long as you have something...

I think it's safe to say neither of my DNQ's will be anywhere close to making it into the rejects (and deservedly so too), I'm sure Florrie will make TBO though and possibly The Storm too.

Literally the ONLY hope I have for TBO is NERVO and I'm not optimistic. Looking back, I have some seriously under appreciated entries at the start of 2012, 'Wintersnow', 'Eyes In The Dark' ect.

There's probably been twice as many as DNQs this year as there were last year - getting into the Rejects will be almost as hard as the TBO final this time based on the sheer numbers - and that's without semis as well, assuming it IS the same as last year, although some changes like that wouldn't surprise me either.

I keep trying to get into Run Boy Run but it won't happen, most of them are nice songs but not my personal favourites.

The secret to winning seems to be ONE WORD TITLES looking at that list! (Because 'play' was the REAL winner).
