#1, I'm quite certain of it. I really like it right now, but I can guarantee I'll grow to at least actively dislike it come February or so once EVERYONE has 'I'm gonna pop some tags, only got $20 in my pocket (8) <33333 xoxox' as their status :drama:
I can imagine people putting up pictures of them in their grandparents clothes on Facebook and quoting a lyric from the song then saying "#yolo" at the end to look "cool"

If it catches on and gets good airplay, it could be absolutely massive.

It's extremely annoying though.

I didn't even think of that, oh god

Number one- sadly. Actually it's not that bad but it has "Novelty" written all over it.

This wont be #1, i think it will be in the top 5.

It looks like my prediction will be wrong :(

7 votes for #1 at the moment. hmmm i wonder how many votes for #1 there will be by this time next week

I don't understand why this is so successful. It is awful.
Love this  Also their pro-gay follow up 'Same Love' is amazing too - Seems to be doing well all over Europe which indicates that hopefully they wont be a 1 hit wonder!
Macklemore does scream one hit wonder but with Same Love being #1 in Australia and New Zealand he'll probably be a two-hit wonder like fun. :P

Quick, someone do a British remake called 'Charity Shop' and get a youtube viral hit out of it!!

Basically rewrite the lyrics and film a video of a Macklemore lookalike dancing in Scope/Cancer Research/Oxfam etc with a load of old grannies

Macklemore won't be a one-hit wonder. He'll do an LMFAO and get a less successful Top 5 hit with Same Love.

I can see fun. getting more chart hits in the future tbh, especially if their next album gets released this year. Although obviously nothing as big as We Are Young, that's pretty much impossible to top!

Poll is disabled, its a bit silly voting for the track now when its going to #1.

Lots of classic bands haven't had hits selling as much as 'We Are Young', it will be very hard for ANY indie band to get a hit bigger than that anytime soon imo. It looks as if once every few years we get a band selling a million downloads in the UK. (I think it's sold a million, if not it will sometime this year)

2008 - Kings of Leon "Sex on Fire"

2012 - fun. "We Are Young"

It looks like my prediction will be wrong :(
