December 9, 201410 yr I need to rewatch the entire thing before the specials tbh. I didn't even remember how the last season ended without consulting the wiki page oops
December 9, 201410 yr I know like every episode basically off by heart  It's ridiculous how many times I've watched them all, especially 'Just Act Normal'
December 9, 201410 yr How have I only just discovered this thread? :o I've loved the series and loved her tour back in April, so naturally gutted to see this finishing! As long as she doesn't marry Gary, I'll be relatively satisfied!
December 9, 201410 yr I know like every episode basically off by heart  It's ridiculous how many times I've watched them all, especially 'Just Act Normal' OMG same! 'Just Act Normal' and 'It Was Panning' are my two favourites - I've watched them a ridiculous amount of times and it's still funny every single time! I'm so gutted that there's only going to be two more episodes before the show ends! P.S. I think we might have to do a Miranda: Ultimate Rate once these two specials have aired. She has such an amazing back catalogue of episodes. Edited December 9, 201410 yr by December
December 10, 201410 yr I am totally on board with the Miranda rate! And genuinely sad this is ending, it's the best British sitcom we've had in what felt like years, I loved it's silliness and how warm hearted it was. I feel like with all her interviews surrounding this lately like she's rather running away from what made her so well loved in the first place. Like she is brilliant as Chummy in 'Call the Midwife' but this all smacks a bit of when Jennifer Saunders stopped doing Ab Fab to do supposedly serious roles and 'thinking' comedy like Vivienne Vyle (which was awful). One hopes that she soon realises that comedy is what made her and that she shouldn't run away from it.
December 10, 201410 yr Its not like Chummy is a very serious character though. She does both the serious and the comedy very well.
December 25, 201410 yr I'm currently in the fetal position listening to "Think Twice". Chocolate is present!
December 26, 201410 yr End of episode review: Stevie's line "I’m all over this like whipped cream on Gary Barlow!" had me in absolute stitches, I don't like how rushed off Mike was after Miranda picked Gary and the ending was RIDICULOUS.
December 26, 201410 yr Yeah the ending was all a bit WTF, and I feel like the episode in general was just lacking the original Miranda silliness and comedy that we've had from series 1-3. Why could she not have just fallen over the beanbag instead of shuffling out of the shop with it between her legs? That's a really minor thing, but it's those things that make it all the better.

Agreed. I also thought the way Penny/Alison and Chris were conveyed was very un-Miranda like as well. :(
December 26, 201410 yr I knew it would be an ending like that :( I would probably have thrown myself out of the window if that was the final episode!! There were still more than a few hilarious bits but it felt more like the episode was just to tie up loose ends (even if they've still ended up tangled in the process). And yeah, Penny was odd. It's like they forgot to write her in and they just rushed her bits in.
December 26, 201410 yr Agreed. I also thought the way Penny/Alison and Chris were conveyed was very un-Miranda like as well. :( Oh yeah, I definitely agree about those characters. I LOVE Tilly too but just wasn't feeling her in that episode. The 'bare with' moment will forever remain iconic, but she's just become someone who adds pointless suffixes onto the end of words when she speaks now. Edited December 26, 201410 yr by Calum Hood
December 26, 201410 yr And yeah, Penny was odd. It's like they forgot to write her in and they just rushed her bits in. Which is a shame because they could have included her in a more efficient storyline given the whole three series has basically been her trying to marry Miranda off! I LOVE Tilly too but just wasn't feeling her in that episode. The 'bare with' moment will forever remain iconic, but she's just become someone who adds pointless suffixes onto the end of words when she speaks now. Shes iconic anyway - but I do think her getting with dreamboat Charlie was ridiculous and unnecessary as well! :(
December 28, 201410 yr I thought there were a good few funny moments, but as Calum said, it's lacking the original feel and silliness of series 1-3. I was slightly disappointed by the episode, and I just hope the final episode isn't so underwhelming.
December 29, 201410 yr I wasn't particularly disappointed really, it's just tying up loose ends I guess and I don't think it was ever gonna have QUITE the same magic. Gary and Miranda BETTER get married or the past few series' have been a lie!!1!
January 1, 201510 yr I'm hoping tonight will be an improvement on last week. Also I'd prefer Miranda to realise she doesn't need a man to be happy.
January 1, 201510 yr The absolute perfect ending  Really couldn't have ended any other way. Clive returning, HEATHER SMALL !!!! and, my personal favourite bit, the parade of galloping *.* Made me a tad emotional at the end, so sad that it's over
January 1, 201510 yr That was a very good final episode, as cliched as it was I always love a happy ending which feels like it's tied up the loose ends. LOL at Heather Small!
