Thought it was about time we started a thread on here for Mikky! Some people may know him from 'Pull Me Down' as I sent it to BJSC earlier last month (it didn't qualify :drama:) but I guess more people have heard of him thanks to appearing on Rihanna's song 'Stay', from her latest album 'Unapologetic'. I'm predicting big things for him in 2013! 'Stay' will get his name out there.

 

Anyone else a fan of the songs they've heard from him so far?

I think he'll be big, but he needs a bit of luck. I'd guess he's going to be majorly pushed by his label. Got a really nice tone to his voice and I can't think of any real market competition for him expect one or two.

Pull Me Down is ridiculously gorgeous. I just think I love anything Clams Casino produces.

 

Stay is probably the highlight of Unapologetic as well.

That's my thinking too. The Weeknd is definitely bigger right now, but regardless of what he does he'll always have interest in him and sell out shows because of his already massive following. So a bit like Skrillex. I just don't know whether The Weeknd will get that push over in the UK.

Pull Me Down is gorgeous, its getting a release in the new year (14th Jan), and Stay (7th Jan) I hope the track goes to #1, love to see if he can get 2 #1's on a trot.

EDIT: His voice is gorgeous. Even live. 'Pull Me Down' was so, so good! :wub: His cover sounds great too! Not too familiar with the original version but it's excellent.
