It actually is a disaster LOL what were they thinking? I mean lovebird is a lovely song but its no single IMO. Oh well at least it's climbing video will have more of an impact next week it was only released weds night.

Glassheart era isn't over though, glassheart will be the next single and definitely a song radio will support I'd say.

Era only? what about her last era? Only 1 album and she will never be relevant anymore.
'Echo' went on to sell around 700k... thanks! It's very rare that artists are as consistent in sales for their albums in the first place, and it's common knowledge that the 2nd album rarely does as well as the first and considering how big Leona's debut was, it's not really fair thinking she could get anywhere near those sales again with any other album. So for 'Echo' to do what it did is still impressive.

Artists tend to have one major era and then level out somewhere. Kelly Clarkson 'Breakaway' is my prime example. The only person I haven't seen do this and do the complete opposite is Rihanna. Although Olly Murs is doing major things and seems to be more consistent than anyone.

Yap... maybe except Olly and 1D, JLS (although JLS are done already also)
I love how you say "already". They've had FOUR albums and lasted far longer than most people expected.
I hate Echo being called a flop, yes it was a decline of 1m from Spirit but it still sold 700k, more than for example Poly Murs's debut which is heralded as a great success.

It is quite ridiculous when people call an album a flop if it doesn't match the previous albums success (BTW!?!). Poor Adele has plenty of work ahead if she wants to avoid a 'flop'! :drama:

Scream and Shout  #3

Remember Me  #44

I think when an album sells less than 25% of the total of the previous album with only a two year gap between albums, in which the artist never really went away, flop isn't exactly that inaccurate a tag.
Britney's first UK iTunes top 3 since 'Womanizer' I believe! :D (Unsure on where '3' peaked though). (Pissing me off it's released same week as the XF winner though - woulda been her first UK number 1 since 'Everytime' :drama:)

Hopefully the track sticks around in the top 5 for at least 3 weeks, and do a Coldplay in the new year :P

Just found out Michael Buble is on Strictly tonight, that's the #1 album sorted next week. :(

Even if her next album sells 2m, it'll be called a 'flop'...

I don't think most radio stations, especially Capital, are going to play anything Leona releases ever again, no matter how radio-ready it is. But if she gets on the radio again she'll get another big hit for sure.

Olly's debut sold over 760k.

Where did 'Hold It Against Me' peak on UK iTunes? It entered at #6 iirc.

Whilst I'm not the biggest fan of the track, it'd be quite the LOL moment if 'Scream & Shout' outsold the X Factor single this week (it's clearly not going to happen but if it did... :D )

I have a feeling it peaked at #5 on iTunes, but that's only from a very vague memory!

Iirc, Hold It Against Me peaked at #3 on iTunes UK...it was definitely top three at one point!

It was a decline of a lot more than 1m :P But to be fair 'Spirit' was a huge hit album on two occasions, both during the Christmas rush, much like Michael Bublé's 'Christmas' which is going to have insane sales for an album which only spent about 15 weeks in the chart come January.

24. Caden's Song (My First Christmas) - David Beggan & Union State

Is this ANOTHER charity song for the Ladywell kid? :drama: Cos I'm pretty sure his name was Caden Beggan.

31. Remember Me - Daley

I hope this doesn't go top 10, I haven't heard the song but no song that features Jessie J can be a good thing.

35. Love Is Easy (Dougie Style) - McFly

Is this a mashup of 'Love Is Easy' and 'Gangnam Style', guessing from the subtitle and vague awareness that 'Gangnam Style' was used on their show the other day? :P

£1 Fish Man not even near top 100 yet :nocheer:
