Posted December 10, 201212 yr So it's the favourite for Christmas No 1 on Sunday week, just what will it sell in its first week? 2h8loYnNlZA
December 10, 201212 yr Don't think it will beat Military Wives first week sales. I haven't seen much hype for this really, although I know it's done pretty well on iTunes pre-orders, which is a good sign considering how much bigger the physicals will be for it compared to downloads. Surely over 300k though?
December 10, 201212 yr I say 425k.....I think it'll be something like 20k copies seperating James and JFT96 with the latter getting Christmas #1
December 10, 201212 yr I'm going to say 350k to 400k, somebody said its pretty high on pre-orders already.
December 10, 201212 yr I say 425k.....I think it'll be something like 20k copies seperating James and JFT96 with the latter getting Christmas #1 James is highly unlikely to be near 400k on his first week let alone his second.
December 10, 201212 yr Singing on the record are; Andy Lawson (Lawson) Gerry Marsden (Gerry + The Pacemakers) Paul Heaton (The Housemartins/The Beautiful South) Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze) John Power (The La's/Cast) Robbie Williams Melanie C (Spice Girls) Rebecca Ferguson Holly Johnson (Frankie Goes To Hollywood) Beverly Knight Paloma Faith Eliza Doolittle Dave McCabe (The Zutons) Peter Hooton (The Farm) Ren Harvieu Jon McClure (Reverend & The Makers) Paul McCartney Shane MacGowan (The Pogues) - Anyway, I think this'll do 300k.
December 11, 201212 yr Ive no idea how much - could flop or it could be like Arthurs single - could be a great battel for xmas no1 though!!
December 11, 201212 yr I don't see quite as much hype with this as the Wives last year, James' single has exceeded my expectations completely so they'll have a bit more of a challenge than I thought. It should still get to number 1 though, I'm gonna say 350-400k Eliza Doolittle getting another number 1 - who'd'a thunk it?
December 11, 201212 yr Eliza Doolittle getting another number 1 - who'd'a thunk it? Another #1? She has never had one yet...
December 11, 201212 yr I expect this will still go to #1 easily but it's going to be a lot closer than I would have said a few days ago and it might not top James' first week sales. Big comeback for the XF single this year despite the ratings drop.
December 15, 201212 yr Author Anymore guesses on this one- given James Arthur's massive sales this week, can Justice Collective make it to the festive No 1?
December 15, 201212 yr I should imagine the track will get to #1 just depends how well James Arthur sales do for its second week, physically wise both tracks will have a full week's sales. Military Wives entered #1 on sales of 555,662, I think it might just come under, more like 500k, I can see the track holding on for a second week, I can't see it crashing the second week, like the Military Wives did with sales of 74,317 and dropped to #4.
December 15, 201212 yr It'd be interesting if James Arthur's second week sales ended up being better than Justice Collective's first week sales. 'Impossible' must be over 400k now and could well even eclipse 500k with Friday/Saturday sales included. As already mentioned, I don't think Justice Collective will sell bucketloads like Military Wives did a year ago. If James Arthur's second week sales collpase 50% that's still around 250k(ish) for next week. It could be close, or maybe I'm just underestimating how well 'HAH, HMB' will sell.
December 15, 201212 yr I already set up a poll for this (which has apparently been closed). Does that mean votes will be transferred, or will people have to vote again in the new poll? Edit : Sorry, it wasn't me who set it up (though I knew I'd seen one before) - but my question still stands... Edited December 15, 201212 yr by vidcapper
