I agree with Liam, I like the fact that there have been a few bonding scenes between Lauren and Kirsty. I think they both understand each other.

I don't because i haven't watched it much to be fair.

Ah right, well he injured himself (in one way - sure he fell off a ladder), then he was taken to hospital. He was going to move to Glasgow, but then Kim and Denise said they'd take care of him, and he's staying. :D

Oh good. He's been in it for years hasn't he.

Think so. I only started watching it full-time myself at the tail end of last year. :P
So you watched bits and bobs before last year. Similar to me. I started watching it properly around the Trevor/Mo/ Kat Zoe times :D

I say last year, but it was probably around the time Derek died, and that was New Year's Day, wasn't it?

EastEnders was the absolute TITS in 2001. The best year for a soap in my book. All the soaps were better back then though, save for Hollyoaks.

Have you seen any of the early 2000/2001 storylines. Some of the best IMO.

No, I was 3 back then... :P What were they about?

I can agree with that. In fact it was the only thing I really watched at the time

Callum it had the brilliant angles with Trevor & Mo, The whole Slater family were brilliant well apart from Charlie perhaps.

Talking of Slaters, bring Stacey back.

I know she was excellent but that looks unlikely. Maybe in 5 years or so hopefully. Jean will be gone however.

Jean's amazing. If Stacey were to come back though, none of the rubbish like last time. Although I'm not sure the writers would be able to contain themselves.

The best story from 2001 was the Lisa/Phil/Mel/Steve saga which was a BEAUTIFUL example of a love triangle (/square) where you actually gave a shit about the characters involved. Phil was amazing back then. As in, actually human.

The writing/acting/everything was just sublime back then.

Looking back at previous Eastenders clips, I think that storyline was incredible along with Who Shot Phil and Steve's Death! I also think 2004-2005 was excellent and even better than 2001: Martin-Sonia-Sarah, Chrissie murdering Den and Sam being framed, Phil, Grant and Peggy's returns, Den-Kate-Chrissie, Phil's rampage, Janine running from the cops...I could go on forever.
