Posted December 14, 201212 yr So, 2012 has almost come to an end and I don't think there are any songs left that I am patiently waiting for, so I think it's safe for me to get on with the chart! Although I have the most predictable number 1's (and #2's!) out of everyone here on Buzzjack, I'd like to think there will be a couple of surprises heading your way! :D How do I work out my EOY chart? My chart isn't based on a point or any kind of scoring system. It's a mix of how I feel about the tracks/albums now, as well as their chart runs. There are some songs that will chart higher than others who have probably had more success in my chart (not much more success though - i.e. a 10 week charter ending up in a lower position than a 2 weeker for example!) It's just how I feel about the song. I feel this way, it gives a fair indication on where the songs which have had less time to chart to actually feature. This is how I've always done it. If you don't like it... toodlepip :goodbye: LETS GET THIS STARTED. (P.s. Official 2012 release dates. No Glee songs. No album tracks. I haven't decided on whether to include Greatest Hits collections or not yet, but I guess that'll make my #1 album far less predictable.) http://25.media.tumblr.com/22bc52bc9a9e1fe9448cbed525f8a125/tumblr_mevykje5oD1qkbcqqo2_400.gif

I appreciate it :D Kicking off in a minute! Top 100 Singles + Top 50 Albums! Kicking off with the Albums 50-41!
December 15, 201212 yr Author ALBUMS: http://media.4music.com/media/thumb/6921/635x356_50_50_0.jpg 41-50: 041. Aiden Grimshaw | 'Misty Eye' [6-7-10] ; (3 Weeks) 042. Calvin Harris | '18 Months' [7] ; (1 Week) 043. Ne-Yo | 'R.E.D.' [10] ; (1 Week) 044. Tulisa | 'The Female Boss' [11-15] ; (2 Weeks) **STILL CHARTING ** 045. Girls' Generation | 'Girls' Generations II ~Girls & Peace~ [13-13] ; (2 Weeks) **STILL CHARTING** 046. Bo Bruce | 'Search the Night' [EP] [6-8] ; (2 Weeks) 047. Adam Lambert | 'Trespassing' [6-9] ; (2 Weeks) 048. Jake Bugg | 'Jake Bugg' [10] ; (1 Week) 049. Owl City | 'Midsummer Station' [10] ; (1 Week) 050. Chris Brown | 'Fortune' [10] ; (1 Week) This section sees a decent, debut effort from X Factor 2010, 6th placer, Aiden Grimshaw. Calvin Harris appears next at #42 with his 3rd album, '18 Months'. Ne-Yo heads a step back in the right direction after 'Libra Scale' failed to chart anywhere in my EOY 2010 chart. Still a disappointing effort from him though. Tulisa is not the female boss of my chart as her debut, solo album falls flat at #44. Girls' Generation are up next with the first album I've listened to by them. The Voice's 3rd place victor, Bo Bruce, enters at 46 with her EP. Adam Lamberts 2nd album makes an impression and charts at #47 in my EOY chart. Critically acclaimed, local Notts lad, Jake Bugg enters at a disappointing #48. Owl City is at #49 with his 3rd (?) album 'Midsummer Station' and finally, Chris Brown is at #50. It is not a patch on his sole, good album, 'Exclusive'.
December 15, 201212 yr Author SINGLES: http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m41gxtu5OP1qzalng.gif 91-100: 091. Cobra Starship | 'Middle Finger' (feat. Mac Miller) [5-4-10-16-29] ; (5 Weeks) 092. P!nk | 'Blow Me (One Last Kiss)' [11-8-8-12-20-25-31-36] ; (8 Weeks) 099. Parade | 'Light Me Up' [22-21-22-17-19-27-39] ; (7 Weeks) 100. Tegan & Sara | 'Closer' [26-21-16-25-38-50] ; (6 Weeks) Kicking off the singles at number 91 we have the party anthem 'Middle Finger', by Cobra Starship. It really should have been given a full push here! Delta Goodrem returns with a storming pop single! The biggest star of 2012, by FAR, Psy only enters at #93. Alexandra Burke's anticipated "comeback" was generally a disappointment, as 'Elephant' sees her only entry this year at #94. Bruno Mars also comes back with a song that I should love more than I actually do! Emeli's sole, solo entry in my chart is at #96 with the lovely 'My Kind Of Love'. The first song to appear that is currently still in my chart, appears at number 97. P!nk's comeback single 'Blow Me' is at a rather disappointing 98! Generic-P!nk-By-Numbers. Ultimate floppy girl group Parade, manage to score themselves a top 100 placing in my chart at #99, with the rather good 'Light Me Up'. Twin sisters, Tegan & Sara enter at number 100 with their pop single, 'Closer'.
December 15, 201212 yr Author SO MANY FLOPS IN HUR WERE DO I BEGUNWorked out well for me! I had exactly 50 albums that I charted in my charts this year! *.* So the end of this chart, really is the deep end. Bleh. EDIT: Oh not including Glee albums, compilation albums or soundtracks!
December 15, 201212 yr Ganganm Style and Elephant need to be a lot higher. :( Those songs would be Top 40 in my countdown! I agree with your position for Locked Out Of Heaven though, it's not brilliant but it's such a grower! It's got to the point where I almost adore the song now.
December 15, 201212 yr Author SINGLES: http://www.musiqqueen.com/content/uploads/2012/09/Karmin-Hello-music-video.jpg 81-90: 081. Labrinth | 'Treatment' [23-38-X(18)-29-31-24-26] ; (6 Weeks) 082. Minnie-Oh | You & I [10-5-12-23-29-36] ; (6 Weeks) 083. Mandy Capristo | 'Hurricane' [7-10-16-27-33] ; (5 Weeks) 084. Rita Ora | 'Shine Ya Light' [32-35-35-X(4)-32-37-48] ; (6 Weeks) 085. Cover Drive | 'Sparks' [27-9-7-9-9-14-29-40] ; (8 Weeks) 086. The Saturdays | '30 Days' [5-4-7-9-16-26-22-27-35] ; (9 Weeks) 087. Labrinth | 'Beneath Your Beautiful' (feat. Emeli Sandé) [31-39-X(25)-32-29-20-9-22-39] ; (8 Weeks) 088. Calvin Harris | 'Let's Go' (feat. Ne-Yo) [31-18-11-11-8-12-19-38] ; (8 Weeks) 089. Karmin | 'Hello' [33-19-18-22-33] ; (5 Weeks) 090. Chris Brown | 'Don't Wake Me Up' [28-23-18-17-22-29-40] ; (7 Weeks) Up in this section we have; an early album highlight from Labrinth, 'Treatment'. It went on to become his least successful single, despite being my favourite! Minnie-Oh is the second best performing Melodi Grand Prix finalist in my EOY chart at #82. Mandy Capristo and the stunning and dramatic 'Hurricane', more BJSC entries still to come! Rita Ora's weakest single to date, 'Shine Ya Light'. I don't even dislike it, I have a soft spot for it. Cover Drive's first of two entries inside my EOY chart at #85. The Saturdays flop-tastic '30 Days' makes a bit of a crap appearance at #86. I wore off it pretty quickly and could never really get back into it properly. Labrinth's biggest single (it'll get there!) is my second favourite from him and appears at #87. Calvin Harris and his 19th single 'Let Go' from album '18 Months', features Ne-Yo is at #88. Making it his highest entry as a main, credited artist. The single that should have been, from pop duo Karmin, 'Hello' makes a nice entry at 89. Whilst auto-tune heavy 'Don't Wake Me Up', by Chris Brown is his sole entry at #90.
December 15, 201212 yr Aiden's album was fairly good, and I wasn't a fan of him on X Factor. Tulisa's album exceeded all my expectations though! (didn't see the singles - massive YES for Delta!) Edited December 15, 201212 yr by JosephStyles
December 15, 201212 yr Yay for Beneath Your Beautiful and Don't Wake Me Up. :D Boo for Shine Ya Light. :puke: The last straw would be if you included Good Time in your chart. :(
December 15, 201212 yr Sitting On Top Of The World, Hurricane, 30 Days and Beneath Your Beautiful
