 69. The Games Maker Choir - I Wish for You the World (feat. Alistair Griffin)

Doing very well, but I think it will only manage top 40 at best. However, I think they are performing at the aftershow for Sports Personality of the Year tonight which is being shown on the Red Button.

For some reason I expected the TJC track at #1 this morning, I didn't realised the track is released tomorrow, its going to be a tight week than, with James's extra day sales... physicals + downloads. He probably end up with 100k+ head start which is probably quite easy to beat.

100k headstart? Where did you get that from unless you expect James Arthur to sell 700k for the week?

23. Stupid Stupid - Alex Day

60. Minecraft Christmas - Area 11

65. I Wish for You the World (feat. Alistair Griffin) - The Games Maker Choir [also #393, #394, #462 & #514]

89. Secret Santa - Kids In Glass Houses

133. Wish - Joseph Whelan

147. Karmageddon - Dot Rotten

Good to see Kids in Glass Houses top 100 :D

Wouldn't mind the GMC/Alistair song doing well, anything related to the Olympics is fine with me (I miss the Olympics :() 'Minecraft Christmas' can bugger off though. I do wonder where all these random Minecraft-related 'hits' keep coming from (there was also 'Screw The Nether' by Inthelittlewood/The Yogscast/Sparkles* a while back which went top 40 on iTunes and top 100 officially).

Alex Day hasn't climbed much at all since his debut, looks like it might not outperform 'Lady Godiva' after all then...

I guess we should wait and see after the Westfield event thing... i'd imagine it was rise a fair bit after that... although thats depending on how successful it is :D

Willy Moon 'Yeah Yeah' back up to #40  Can this please become a proper hit? I thought it was going to be the first time it entered the top 40 but then it fizzled out as quickly as it took off.

Looking forward to seeing what happens with Stupid Stupid between 3-4pm~

Stephen Fry (yes, the Stephen Fry!) has done a version of Stupid Stupid and recently tweeted about it to his over 5 million followers - so maybe that will bring some kind of boost for both the original and Fry's version too.

How have I only heard about this now?! :o as I was a games maker myself, I fully support this despite not having heard it yet.

Looking like a rather damp squib of a Christmas chart if the new releases are anything to go by :( except a possible interesting clash between James & the Justice Collective,James really hasn't reduced much at all, so I think both could be 150-200k+

Xmas top 300 update:

Not a huge amount of change since last update. Coldplay climbing with both versions (and both top 200) :cheer:

These SHOULD be mostly climbing loads over the week as Christmas looms!

The Alex Day event is happening now, all of his fans have supposedly waited until this hour to download the song. I have a feeling it will fly into the top 10 very soon.
I guess we should wait and see after the Westfield event thing... i'd imagine it was rise a fair bit after that... although thats depending on how successful it is :D

Can I ask what this Westfield event is about? :D

Another easy top 5 for Alex Day then. Actually the entire top 3 will consist of novelty / charity records, I think!

Actually looking at the release schedule I'm surprised JLS, Robbie and Rebecca Ferguson are releasing new singles this week, they are quite easily going to get lost in the pack, they should have waited till the new year, when single sales are low. When will record companies learn. They stand no chance getting top 3, it seems just a wasted effort.

They're post album-singles, so they'd almost be certain not to go top 3 regardless (only happens a few times each year). Robbie's song is getting good radio support, so I think it could climb into the top 40 in January maybe.
