December 16, 201212 yr Leona became so predictable years ago, the public and media have now lost interest. It looks like the record company aren't putting in any effort any more either - I wouldn't be surprised if she was dropped and re-signed by another label. Edited December 16, 201212 yr by layn
December 16, 201212 yr Whilst i don't think her career is over she certainly has a battle on her hands to return to her former glory, I very much doubt we will get a 3rd single from the album - In the eyes of the record company the lead single and album have flopped and a second single looks like missing the Top 200, She has had decent exposure but is just not connecting with the general public. She will never get back to Spirit-levels of success lol. That was a one-off HUGE era. Things like that don't happen often, let alone repeat themselves. Also, she looks like she'll do well in German-speaking countries. She's always done well in them (Germany, Austria, Switzerland ect) and she recently did some european promo and Glassheart/"Trouble"/"Lovebird" have been rising in various countries. I think her German release of Glassheart is going to go a lot better than the UK release.
December 16, 201212 yr Leona needs to take a chance on a song like Come Alive. I know Collide flopped, but I think a big part of that was because it doesn't actually have a melody and isn't very good. Come Alive is right on the money in terms of production and melody but her team seem to keep picking the most generic safest songs to release, when that isn't really going to work.
December 16, 201212 yr It's a shame really, I'm not usually a big Leona fan but I really like the Glassheart album, it's got some amazing songs on it. Just a shame not many people will get to hear them. And also, a massive LOL  at the two loons who think Lovebird is gonna get to Number 1! As other people have said, I agree it will be lucky to make the Top 200. Edited December 16, 201212 yr by mango
December 17, 201212 yr As far as I know this hasn't been released as a single yet, only available as an album track on Amazon and itunes, which may explain why it hasn't yet charted.

December 19, 201212 yr Author I believe this could be the final single off of "Glassheart" according to what i've read on another forum: So I was listening to heart fm radio on Saturday night and they were playing lots of Leona Lewis music. They had her on the show and she said "I don't know if there will be another single after 'lovebird', there's a lot downtimes stuff going on. People ask me if I'll release 'come alive' as I've performed it a few times. It's definitely a live song. I dunno about more singles."
December 20, 201212 yr From reading updates in the chart forum and Leona forum i think it is easy to say this wont be bothering the top 200, that said this still shocks me, as i thought Leona had enough loyal fans alone to see the song make top 75 for at least 1 week. A lot of her hardcore fans appear to have deserted her.

December 20, 201212 yr Unrelated to Lovebird, but is it just me who thinks Leona/her label have behaved very strangely? Didn't release "I See You", even though it was the theme of what would become the most successful film of all time? It wasn't even available to download! Didn't release more singles from "Echo", especially "Outta My Head" which would have allowed the public to see a different side of her? Didn't release "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", which was already slightly known because of the X Factor? Didn't release "My Hands", even though it was the theme of a big video game release? Wheeling her out every year on X-Factor to perform a cover version of a classic song really killed any sort of credibility she built up with the Spirit era.
December 20, 201212 yr Lol there was really no point of this thread. It wasnt supported by any major radio station, TV not really interested in video. It's basically a non-single. The label are not interested in this single release. What a mess. Forget about it. On to next single quick. Glassheart needs to be released asap. Edited December 20, 201212 yr by Karma

No. Leona's close fans hate the label. They've consistently made bad decision after bad decision since the release of "I Will Be" to US radio. It's not even funny anymore, it's really quite sad. Leona had so much potential, but its fading away (in terms of success).
December 21, 201212 yr #200 sold only 600 copies so she sold less than that. I'm actually not surprised in the slightest.

It's not even funny anymore, it's really quite sad. Leona had so much potential, but its fading away (in terms of success). Why make excuses for her, her charting outside the top (probably 500) with her last single tells you people just have no interest in Leona.
December 21, 201212 yr Too much time spent on her bunnies and horses and not enough time spent on her music career and fans, shame really as she's got more talent in her toe nail clippings than the rest of the other x-factor winners. She doesn't seem to have much motivation and appears to lack in confidence and personality, I must admit I've never been a fan of hers, but I think she's been treated a lot like Shayne Ward was, I reckon Cowell is slowly fading her out and upping One Direction now.

Whilst I'm not disputing that, there have been some god awful deicisions made since the Echo era began which lead to this. Releasing 'Lovebird' was such a mindless decision.
December 21, 201212 yr Realistically, how many copies do you need to make the top 1500 of I-tunes? The song was hovering in the 800 and 900s, so she can't have sold many. Ironically, she's on 4Music, Fresh top 20 at #14 she's made the top 20 of something lol! Gorgeous video I have to say.

I'm not making excuses for "Lovebird" not charting. But if you follow her career closely, you will see there have been a lot of mistakes made. Also, they have songs like "Glassheart" and "Come Alive" which could have been the lead single/2nd single. Those could have easily sparked interest back into Leona. The fact she stood there on stage like she does every year and performed the acoustic version of "Trouble" on X-factor didn't help her, the song or the album at all.
