Does Röyksopp stand a good chance of topping chart soon? Still disappointed that this isn't available to buy on iTunes. I suspect by the time it is, I'll be over the song and won't bother - unless it's got a shot of getting to no. 1 in the UK (stranger things have happened) then I'll be more than willing to help it on its way. :D

'Indigo' was easily my fave entry in the BJSC L but I'd already discovered Frida Sundemo thanks to Unknown Pleasures in 2010 after 'Towers' was entered.

I much prefer this to the clunkyness of 'Something New' - this flows better for starters imo. As for Strictly Come Dancing that athelete who won was by far the most deserving of winners. When the series started I didn't have him down as even a contender to win but you have to admit that show dance he did was incredible.

Despite "only" entering at #20, Ellie was unlikely to chart much higher this week. Next weeks post-Christmas should see this track climbing to a new peak as there's bugger all out this week. 'Lightning Bolt' is looking set to become a belated BJSC hit - shame it never made the final in the first place. Jake Bugg would've charted by now had the track made the final as it was by far one of my faves from its semi final.

Well, I adored Leona Lewis on The X Factor and 'A Moment Like This' remains the only X Factor winners single to top my personal chart. Co-incidentally, 'Hallelujah' made #2 in my chart kept off the top by Leona Lewis 'Run'. :D

I might be in the minority of Buzzjackers who actually prefer this to 'The Power Of Love'. Gabrielle Aplin became the first act ever to have #1 and #2 in my chart in the same week. Will be hoping to be this become a big hit in February 2013. :D

 

10 (15) Imagine Dragons - Radioactive (28-26-15-10) [4 wks] - Really liking this band, their next single (It's Time) its gonna be a HUGE UK hit IMO.11-40

 

'It's Time' has already charted for me where it peaked at no. 17. My chart benefits a lot from BJSC where I discover many tracks months before they become big hits. 'Radioactive' was also entered into BJSC and I prefer this song to be honest.

 

22 (23) The Lumineers - Ho Hey (19-19-17-16-23-22) [6 wks] - Surprised this wasn't a bigger hit for you.

 

It was a slow burner and eventually charted but at least it's managed to stick around without having a sharp decline down my chart. Might even return to the top 20 in my last weekly chart of 2012.

 

25 (20) PSY - Gangnam Style (강남스타일) (01-01-01-02-02-04-05-05-08-12-12-13-20-25) [14 wks] - STILL Amazing

 

Go on PSY, grab that UK #1 spot all over again. Would be hilarious and incredible if this was achieved next week. :D

 

34 (38) Taylor Swift - I Knew You Were Trouble. (38-34) [2 wks] - What a shame you don't like this much :(

 

Well, it's climbing so it's going in the right direction. I do like it, I just don't love it. I've never been a big Taylor Swift fan and have found her music quite bland and forgettable over the years. The 'Red' era has proved to be her most interesting so kudos to Taylor for finally injecting some life into her songs (I still think 'Love Story' is one of the most boring songs I've ever heard). :heehee:

 

40 (40) Will.I.Am feat. Britney Spears - Scream & Shout (40-40) [2 wks] - Again, shame this isn't bigger for you, its a big grower IMO.

 

I've struggled to get into this. Even 'This Is Love' was a lukewarm single for peaking at #37. Yet 'T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)' appealled to me so much more mostly thanks to Mick Jagger's OTT section towards the end. :lol:

I doubt this will be a popular track on Buzzjack but I think it's really funny. There's no actual tune or anything but it somehow works imo. The chorus and the little girl talking are the selling points. :lol:

 

09 (--) Passenger - Let Her Go - Another song I can see doing big things here in the New Year, beautiful song.

 

I do hope so. Again, this has already been a bit of a grower but I'm starting to like this a lot more now. Reckon Passenger could have a big UK hit with this if it's given enough radio support. It's innovensive enough so I don't see any reason why not. :D

 

Did Icona Pop ever chart for you? I think I Love it could be another massive song next year (Macklemore/Passenger/Icona Pop are three songs I'm obsessed with ATM) :w00t:

 

They didn't, and 'I Love It' was entered into BJSC earlier in the year but made no impact on me at all at the time. I've since grown to really like the song so it could become a hit in my chart yet. A bit like 'Little Talks' by Of Monsters And Men - entered into BJSC in 2011, made no impact on me yet became one of my #1 hits of 2012. :lol:

I really don't understand why The Killers have done so badly with this era. 'Runaways', imo, is better than 'When You Were Young' yet whilst that was a #2 hit for the band, 'Runaways' barely made the top 20. :( 'Here With Me' is another fine single but I guess it shows how fickle minded the British can be with rock acts.

Maybe this will grow on you and in a few weeks you might adore this song as much as I do now. Or maybe not!!! :P Röyksopp have had a few top 10 singles in my chart but 'RTTS' has had the biggest immediate impact.

From the singles I've heard I'd agree. I suspect in the UK it'll be 'It's Time' that becomes their biggest hit. The success of this track in Sweden and Norway has been pleasing to see purely because I wouldn't have expected 'Radioactive' to be so popular there for some reason.

Girls Aloud got very close to getting my Xmas #1 way back in 2005 with 'See The Day' (yes, I did like it a lot :D ) but Nizlopi came along and prevented that from happening. Shame this isn't looking set to become a hit at all, unless you consider #148 a hit (or wherever it is where it peaked). Strange to think they've had so much hype surrounding their return and yet it seems to have fizzled out as quickly as it started. :lol:

I previewed the tracks on iTunes a while back out of curiosity and realised I still much prefered the originals compared to some of these remakes. 'OANLT' however is easily one of the highlights from the Abbey Road sessions.

However, I can reveal that 'Bodyrock' didn't get anywhere near the top 40. With a chart run of 03-06-15- before exiting the top 20, that really wouldn't be enough to even make #40 for the year.
