Calvin Harris "18 Months" One of the very few albums I actually bothered to listen to last year - and it's very good, so great to see it at #1 in the update :D

Now THAT is an unexpected return to #1! '18 Months' has done unbelievably well (even after 5 top 2 singles was still expecting it to not do much better than 'Ready For The Weekend'), really hope he can hold onto the top spot  Why do I get the feeling Emeli will sneak back though?

Good to see Ed and Jake back in the top 5 as well and Plan B back in the top 40 :D

EDIT: Was not expecting 'Don't You Worry Child' to be back in the top 10 today :o :cheer: Great to see 'Spectrum', 'Anything Could Happen' and 'Somebody That I Used To Know' all currently set for re-entries to the top 40, hadn't really noticed the former doing well on iTunes so a pleasant surprise there.

'Scream & Shout' should get #1 if it's only 3k behind James today :D will.i.am and Calvin Harris would be great first #1s of 2013.

Go brit.i.am :cheer:

Despite my intense dislike of Wil I Am I hope this gets to #1. Adding to that the fact that almost anyone could do what Britney does on this track, I can't help but like her and it!

Should James Arthur stay at No 1 and should he sell the 104k needed (unlikely I know on both fronts) then he will become the first act to sell his millionth copy whilst at No 1 since Band Aid 20 some 8 years ago.
Ooh! What interesting midweek charts! Calvin Harris returning to number one, Rita Ora and Jake Bugg back in the Top 5! It does seem likely that Emeli Sande will overtake Calvin if there is only 700 copies separating the two, that Emeli usually experiences the weekend effect and 18 Months probably saw a boost because of New Year parties. Hopefully Music Week will post the whole Top 40 for both charts later.

Swedish House Mafia back in the top 10  :cheer:

Also Try climbing back up, and Calvin Harris the new-old number 1 on the albums :o

Call Me Maybe top 20

Oh, I didn't see that - Emeli will almost certainly still be #1 after all then :( Ah well, at least Calvin should climb back to #2!

Oh good we've got the full top 40s. Yay for the climbs on the singles for 'Stay', 'Ho Hey', 'Hall Of Fame' (surprised that's climbing again!), 'Skyfall', 'Sweet Nothing', 'Latch' and 'Niggas In Paris' :D Eek at 'Gold Dust' being #20 though, I really hope it drops out so it doesn't just throw away it's incredible top-30-but-not-top-20 run like that :(

And yay for The Lumineers heading for a new peak in the album chart + Labrinth, Mumfords, Coldplay, Olly [iCYDK], The Vaccines, The xx, Δ, Ben Howard climbing and especially Ellie back in the top 20! Lots of good climbs this week.

With 8% lead over Itunes since Monday Evening I guess the 3K is from Sunday... This will be like REEEEEEEEEALLY close.
Fantastic to see Swedish House Mafia back in the top 10, Carly in the top 20 and Ellie in the top 40!!! :cheer:

Very yo-yo chart run for Pitbull's Don't Stop the Party! I heard it three times on the same radio station on New Year's Eve! Gold Dust #20, not sure where it is on iTunes but it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't re-peak again come Sunday. Looks like Gabrielle Aplin will be having lots of ~10 place sized falls from now on.

Climbs from The Lumineers, fun., Labrinth, Lana Del Rey, Ellie Goulding and The Vaccines are very welcome, and so is the re-entry from P!nk's Greatest Hits - been Top 40 in 2010, 2011, 2012 and now 2013!

What I can make out, the tracks that have fallen from last week's top 40 singles are Little Mix DNA & Wings, The Pogues and Flo Rida.

Most likely Jake Bugg will enter the 40 at some stage, it should push One Direction or £1 Fish Man, unless something else charts between now and Friday. Coldplay and Rudimental could be one of the tracks or both losing Christina Perri or Justin Bieber in the process.

We won't lose Beauty and a Beat, it was around #25 on iTunes when I last checked, I thought it'd climb in the chart, not fall, TBH!

I just don't think it would be the same if it was "You are now now rocking with will.i.am and Cheryl Coerl" or anyone else. :puke2:

This should be an exciting week. FULLY behind willney doing it (and if not i guess they have another shot next week as the release schedule seems quiet).

Come on BRITNEY! :cheer:

Yes Britney brings a certain star quality despite her shortcomings. Always liked her.

I didn't anticipate the mids having so many older songs in it this week! :o I imagine 'Stay' and 'Die Young' may end up knocking 'Candy' and either 'Don't You Worry Child' or 'Beneath Your Beautiful' out of the top 10 though.

And I know what people mean on the Brit.I.Am track and Britney's star quality. Ke$ha is someone else I find brings star quality to tracks too (Dirty Picture/My First Kiss).
