Yes Girls' Generation are K-Pops biggest group overall and is Korea's national group and Asia too (southeast).

 

Flower Power isn't even that good IMO, definitely their poorest single.

Flower Power is definitely my fave song by them, THAT CHORUS *.* <3

 

I Got A Boy is growing on me, as I'm letting it - but it really is just, all too messy for me to love it. It's not like a load of songs mashed together to make 1 song, it literally is just like 3 seperate songs.

Ahh knew it would be a grower for some. A lot of people are saying the song is growing on them on other forums after iniially hating it. :D

Downloaded the album/EP/whatever it is, today. Off to a promising start. The first four tracks are all great! 'Dancing Queen' is (thankfully) not a cover of Abba's song, but more a cover of Duffy's 'Mercy'! Which threw me off completely :lol: 'Talk Talk 말해봐' is my favourite I've heard so far (that isn't 'I Got A Boy'). 'Promise' is alright, but definitely the weakest so far for me.

The album starts so good with 'I Got a Boy' but then immediately becomes CRINGEFEST that is the Mercy cover and then just DULL with all those dead ballads and lifeless uptempos. :(

GG's Korean albums aren't anywhere near as good as their two Japanese ones. I'm glad you like some of the tracks though! "Talk Talk" sounds better in Japanese so I highly recommend you check out "Boomerang" instead (that's the Japanese version of it).

You like "I Got a Boy"?! :o. As I said for Jonjo, GG's Korean albums are very weak and fill of filler material, I suggest you download and listen their two Japanese ones instead (especially their debut one) as it's their strongest material within the entire discography.

Some controversy unfolding....

 

Demo for GG's "I Got a Boy" English version LEAKED with the vocals recorded by British singer "Katy Tiz"

 

 

Also....a rumoured instrumental for Lady Gaga's song "Ratchet" has leaked with fans comparing the similarity between that and the electro parts of GG's "I Got a Boy".

As for my opinion, Katy Tiz released this herself by creating a self-called "fan account" in order to gain some recognition. It's obviously not a demo version but rather a studio recording and finalised song. As for Gaga's part, it's probably a fake instrumental from another random song but if it's real well....Gaga and Azealia Banks are in the same record label as GG in America so I wouldn't be TOO surprised.

Not sure about the Katy Tiz thing. It's nice to hear, actually works quite well but I'm fairly sure it IS just a demo which SM bought, similar to Ke$ha's version of Run Devil Run, rather than it being an official or unofficial cover (the song structure is different).

 

Gaga is almost DEFINITELY fake tho. Has she even confirmed the new single is called Ratchet?
