22nd Sam and the Womp - "Bom Bom" // 1390PTS

My least favourite #1 of the year and one of my least favourite songs of the year overall. Will never understand this song. Moving on.

21st Katy Perry - "Part Of Me" // 1510PTS

Not great for Katy who is meant to be loved by Buzzjack, but this is one of her weaker singles from the Teenage Dream era and it's even older if you count the demo.

I dont like it because his part is recycled and her part has her voice in it.

I prefer Spectrum to I'm Not Alone, it's probably my favourite Florence song actually.

And This Is Love definitely didn't deserve to be this low. :( It's such an underrated song!

Surprised to see Katy so low, pleased to see Bom Bom down there though - should have been much lower.

20th Gabrielle Aplin - "The Power Of Love" // 1590PTS

#1 due to a low sales week, Gabrielle has a beautiful voice and I personally prefer this a lot more to the original but even this version got old very quickly.

19th Rita Ora (feat. Tinie Tempah) - "R.I.P." // 1660PTS

Rita's best solo single so far by a long way, a lot more urban and makes great use of a sample imo. She now just has "Hot Right Now" still to come.

18th Robbie Williams - "Candy" // 1720PTS

Robbie's first UK #1 in years with help from a performance on The X Factor, very catchy and should've done slightly better imo, one of my favourite #1s of the year. Amaze lyrics too, "got low self-esteem and vertigo cos she thinks she's made of candy" <3.

17th Labrinth (feat. Emeli Sandé) - "Beneath Your Beautiful" // 2030PTS

Surprised this isn't higher, another song helped to #1 after being performed on The X Factor, it's a great song, the best of Labrinth's singles, and not too dull for current leader of the pack, Emeli.

I thought that Beneath Your Beautiful would have gone Top 15! It's such a beautiful song.
That's not bad for Labrinth 17th considering there are better tracks above it

Justice for Chris Brown! :D

Far too low for Twilight and far too high for Young (and BYB should be far higher too).

I have a feeling that I will like the winner - as I can't think of a popular #1 that I've massively disliked.

16th Jessie J - "Domino" // 2180PTS

Katy Perry sound-a-like "Domino" finishes higher than Katy herself but still falls short of the top 15. This one got a bit old but is still Jessie's best, on about the same level as "Price Tag".

15th DJ Fresh (feat. Rita Ora) - "Hot Right Now" // 2340PTS

The best of Rita's #1s just makes it into the top 15 and I also think this is DJ Fresh's best single to date too, being a tad better than his 2011 #1 "Louder".

14th Olly Murs (feat. Flo Rida) - "Troublemaker" // 2510PTS

X Factor runner-up Olly just keeps getting better and better with "Troublemaker" sounding like Maroon 5 in a good way, being his best single to date.

13th PSY - "Gangnam Style" // 2920PTS

Why Buzzjack why. Beating out so many genuinely good songs.

But what are the final two songs to miss out on a top 10 placing?

I think the final 2 missing out on a top 10 placing will be Rudimental and Calvin/Flo

12th Cheryl - "Call My Name" // 3070PTS

Cheryl had the fastest selling #1 of the year at the time with this Calvin Harris produced track. Can't say I'm a fan but it's certainly not her worst.

11th Little Mix - "Wings" // 3100PTS

X Factor winners Little Mix finish just ahead with their first original single, the excellent "Wings". Couple of shocks here? Martin was way off the mark clearly. :P

This leaves us with a top 10 of;

Calvin Harris - Sweet Nothing

Carly Rae Jepsen - Call Me Maybe

Coldplay - Paradise

David Guetta - Titanium

Florence + The Machine - Spectrum

fun. - We Are Young

Gotye - Somebody That I Used To Know

Rihanna - Diamonds

Rudimental - Feel The Love

Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child

WHAT

W H A T

Officially boycotting this countdown now 'Wings is out'. And, We Are Young / Somebody That I Used To Know still being left physically repulses me. If the latter wins (and I imagine it stands a chance), I will be extremely disappointed.
