March 13, 201312 yr "Blue Ocean Floor" is a masterpiece. I like the album as a whole, but like Dido's album. I'm not sure many songs work by themselves.
March 13, 201312 yr If anyone could sent me a link via PM it'd be very much appreciated :) This is expected to debut at #1 with sales exceeding 500k :o Edited March 13, 201312 yr by tim94
March 13, 201312 yr Don't Hold The Wall *.* (tried to save my opinion until i got through it all, but three tracks in and DAYUM) :w00t:
March 13, 201312 yr Author I'm not getting the mass adoration for 'Don't Hold the Wall'. I mean, there's nothing wrong with that song, it's just a good track as opposed to a "great one" for me and beyond the production (which is fantastic - throughout the whole album, not just this track) it's just an averagely good song. Anyway, I've not listened to anything BUT this album since it leaked. It's one of those albums where I'm struggling to stop listening to it, because it really is so good. I can see why 'Suit & Tie' was used as the lead/promotional single and why he didn't go straight for 'Mirrors' as that track. I really don't think 'Mirrors' would have worked had it come before any of the other tracks on the album. It's the only "obvious" smash hit, so to launch the album off that song was the right move (evidently). I do think he's going to make the songs work as singles too though. I was baffled as to why he chose 'What Goes Around... Comes Around' and in particular 'Lovestoned' as singles at first, but they really worked for him in the end and it was clear as to why they were chosen.

It's the way the interlude drops at 4.30, it's just so good. Then the beat is just insane. So slick and classy, those vocals are just so smooth.
March 13, 201312 yr I've listened a few times now, and can safely say it's STRONG. There aren't as many definite hits like the previous two albums, but as a cohesive whole it just works perfectly. The only slightly dud moments are towards the end of Spaceship Coupe which drags a bit and maybe Tunnel Vision (which i'm still undecided on) but that's just me being picky. I can't help but love Let The Groove Get In too. So fun and makes the perfect contrast when it leads into Mirrors.
March 13, 201312 yr Author I feel the same about 'Let The Groove Get In', too. It should be crap filler/the weakest on the album, but there's just something about it  I love 'Tunnel Vision' though! 'Spaceship Coupe' is a bit overly long and it does seem to drag, but I like it still. ATM this is an album that is better from start to finish, as an album! Not many songs stick out as obvious hits despite being amazing (does that make sense? ). Also; the two deluxe tracks are out there too :D
March 13, 201312 yr Yeah gotta say I'm not overly keen on Spaceship Coupe.. As for potential singles, nothing really does stick out. Would say Strawberry Bubblegum and Pusher Love Girl would be strong contenders. Just listening to Strawberry Bubblegum now, can imagine it being a single! I think what is for sure, is he will definitely do another massive budget video like what happened for What Goes Around Comes Around.
March 13, 201312 yr I just LOVE Tunnel Vision and Let The Groove In, definitely one of my favorite songs. But I have to say that the least favorite for me is also Spaceship Coupe - the rest is amazing! Edited March 13, 201312 yr by zeze88
March 13, 201312 yr Don't Hold The Wall is great as everyone's saying. I need the rest as separate tracks to fully get into it though...those iTunes streams do my head in. Has anyone else heard this? It has made me love Suit and Tie now: TVwtBBpkAJc
March 14, 201312 yr Author He's going to be on Jimmy Fallon every night this week. He's performing new songs as well as a couple of classics. (Just follow the links on the right hand side.) 'Pusher Love Girl' was performed on Monday. 'Mirrors' was performed on Tuesday. 'Let the Groove Get In' on Wednesday. Not too sure about tonights or what he's performing for the rest of the week. But both those performances... amazing. 'Pusher Love Girl' is FANTASTIC live. I'm desperately hoping for a 'Blue Ocean Floor' live performance, but I really don't think we'll get one! I'm even doubtful he'll do it on his tours, tbh. I don't know why I think that. :( AND... UD8tGWIqA-c 'SexyBack' actually, strangely works as one of those Barber shop quartet songs! LOL
March 14, 201312 yr Author I don't like "double posting", but 'Let The Groove Get In' was performed last night and it's such a fun song when done live!

March 15, 201312 yr Author I get the feeling it will be a 'Strawberry Bubblegum' performance tonight. He retweeted someone who was "hoping for a 'Strawberry Bubblegum' performance tonight..." etc.. Looking forward to that one especially, because as Rooney said earlier in the thread, it's definitely sticking out as a potential, future single...

Looking forward to that one especially, because as Rooney said earlier in the thread, it's definitely sticking out as a potential, future single... I've listened to the album 6/7 times now, As fantastic as it is, it is a piece of music to be listened to in its entirety, and not really full of standout catchy songs. Strawberry Bubblegum really sticks out. Let The Groove Get In is fantastic, but I think the fact there's so much lyric repetition in means if it to be a single it will be number 4 or 5, and definitely not the next one!
March 15, 201312 yr Oh GOD this album is lovely!! Agree with what a lot of folks said - no standout singles but the album flows so well. Favourites so far are Mirrors, Blue Ocean Floor and Tunnel Vision. Overall good album!! :)
March 16, 201312 yr Author He's performing a mix of his biggest hits tonight on Jimmy Fallon for his final night. We've had some brilliant performances from him this past week or so. XnWchvD_7Wg
March 17, 201312 yr I've no idea as to the individual tracks as I've only listened to the iTunes stream but I thought the album got better as it went along, definitely a better and more cohesive body of work than his previous efforts.
