With regards to Rattle, I guess putting "ft. Prohgress" wouldn't have helped the sales as much as "ft. Far East Movement".

I wonder if this will help them get more chart hits in the UK. Turn Up the Love was only a hit because of Cover Drive imo (Capital would've never played it otherwize).

It's the same situation as when Tinchy Stryder released Number 1. Tulisa and Fazer did f**k all on that song, it was Dappy that did all the hard work but N-Dubz as a whole got credited.

I think it was originally meant to be credited Tinchy Stryder ft. Dappy at first. Like when the song first started getting popular I remember always reading "ft. Dappy", but they changed it to "ft. N-Dubz". Even today when I look at people's ipods they've still got it down as "ft. Dappy".

That said, Number 1 boosted N-Dubz's chart career hugely, so maybe the same will happen for Far East Movement (although I'm sure Like a G6 alone made them enough money for a lifetime!).

I never knew Emeli was Scottish! :o

I've never heard any of Emeli's songs out (apart from her rap collabs obviously), except for once when Annie Mac was the DJ (yeah, those tickets were EXPENSIVE ), she played a remix of My Kind of Love (Gemini remix).

Shes live din Scotland all her life but was actually born in Sunderland!

Emeli and Ellie back to 99p - hope this doesn't have too much impact

7 Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Thrift Shop (feat. Wanz)

I hope Devlin goes top 10, but I hope 50 Cent overtakes Pitbull before he gets in. It would be weird having three hip hop songs in the top 10 on iTunes at the same time, that probably hasn't happened since about 2006.

52. Glee Cast - Mine

This is so much higher than their other songs got recently! :o

There's a remix of Titanium ft. Che'Nelle that's going to be released I think. It should boost it closer to 1 million sales.

Hope Amelia lily can climb back up now she has been reduced to 59p.

lol. As if it actually happened!

50 Cent has been so lucky, he overtook James Arthur just before Thrift Shop got in as well.

Suppose Arthur and Pitbull are a bit older so are running out of legs!!

I think 50 Cent is older than them. He's 37 now. An Eminem's like 40 I think.

Surprised to see 'Mine' the highest of the Glee tracks! :o - I think from now on though, they should put the tracks down to 59p as soon as they're released to iTunes.

Really surprised at 'No Diggity' being top 40! :o It's always, usually 59p, has it reached top 40 before now (since being made 59p etc)? Or do we think it's use in 'Pitch Perfect' has got people interested in the song? (Although I'm sure it was 59p around the time of PP's release and never got that high, just random how it's doing it now - although low sales I guess...)

I think it will be Pitch Perfect, I was one of the ones who downloaded it after seeing the film. "Don't You Forget About Me" could do with being 59p as well really.

I don't know, but I've seen other cases of songs being discounted to 59p on different occasions and seeing quite different boosts each time, and someone suggested that if a song is at the top of the list of 59p songs on iTunes it would get a bigger boost than the songs lower down the list, so maybe No Diggity is near the top this time (I don't have iTunes, so I have no idea).

It was also sampled in Shout, but that was quite a while ago now lol.

They should discount the actual songs imo. I think Riff Off: Mickey / Like a Virgin / Hit Me With Your Best Shot / S&M / Let’s Talk About Sex / I’ll Make Love to You/Feels Like the First Time/No Diggity would be one of the most raunchy top 40 hits ever!

'No Diggity' did make the top 40 on iTunes a couple of weeks ago I think - but even so, probably is being helped a fair amount by 'Pitch Perfect', it only got to #75 when it was first in the 59p offer back in 2011. I don't know how prominent the song is in 'Pitch Perfect' though.

Credit to Devlin['s record label] for realising that a price reduction would help 'Rewind' immensely, could now still be a top 10 hit. They should have done this with Amelia last week, although I'm glad they didn't :P I'm not a huge fan of 'Rewind' either, it's a little bit plodding-along-not-going-anywhere, Devlin can do so much better. Will be good to see him get another top 10 I guess but hopefully not outpeaking 'Watchtower'. Hope his album can do better than his debut as well.

EDIT: I see Amelia has now been made 59p - bit late!

65. Nothing Like Us (Bonus Track) - Justin Bieber

83. As Long As You Love Me (Acoustic Version) - Justin Bieber

Guess that explains what this 'Nothing Like Us' song Jáhq and Joseph are charting is. :drama: Yay at 'As Long As You Love Me' though, really doesn't deserve to be the worst performing single of this era when it's the only good one :(

Justin Bieber songs in the top 200:

40. Beauty and a Beat (feat. Nicki Minaj) [59p]

58. Nothing Like Us (Bonus Track)

76. As Long As You Love Me (Acoustic Version)

113. Beauty and a Beat (Acoustic Version)

125. I Would

132. Boyfriend (Acoustic Version)

162. Take You (Acoustic Version)

197. Yellow Raincoat

Agree about As Long as You Love Me. It sounds like Out of Control by Harry Shotta (doubt anybody here knows that song ). Hopefully it'll be back in the top 100 this week.

Devlin's song sounds so much like Alone Again by Alyssa Reid (and by extension the Heart version), but I loved that song anyway. The best singles of his imo are Let It Go and Off With Their Heads. Maybe he should re-release the latter now that Bassline Junkie is in the chart.
