You're all welcome! (this is taking much longer than i anticipated but i'll speed up now i have the order finalised)!

Out of interest, if Damaged was entered would it be in here?

Umm. Impossible to say as i haven't listened to it as much as the songs here (for the obvious reason that it wasn't entered during my time) so i'll say a maybe for now ^_^

20. Trifoski // Robert DeLong - Global Concepts

LII // 17th - 10pts

19. Hendinia // The Good Natured - 5-HT

LI // 08th - 0pts

Trifoski's first (of how many??) entries scrapes through the top 20 in explosive fashion. Didn't believe the hype initially but come final time i was giving it my ALL. Managed to get some recognition globally too which Seven was fairly pleased about i'm sure. Next up a Hendinian entry that i didn't even point in the final (although that was a killer lot as the rest of the countdown will prove) but upon having the pleasure of seeing the band live in all their sexy sexxxy glory the song struck a major chord and HIT straight up my rankings. Not quite sure how i missed it the first time round.

YAAAAY

Probably my 2nd favourite entry of the year, behind Taped Rai, glad to see you ended up liking it even though you didn't vote for it :D

18. Kopečka // Minnie-Oh - Step Up

LIV // 09th - 6pts

17. Syndare // Goldroom; Say Lou Lou - Sweetness Alive

LI // 19th - 1pt

Don't ask! Something about Kopečka's OH so infectious sounds have me going back for more to this day. A slice of almost painful pop that got stuck on repeat over and over. Shame it stopped me getting another top 10 hit but this isn't about me so i won't dwell on that!!1 And just shows how tough this was to order when the gorgeous summery sounds of Syndare can only get to #17 (luckily i stole the artist for my own glory with a MUCH sweeter song oops COME AT ME). Still this fully deserves a placing here and had it not had been overshadowed for me it probably would have featured much higher. I'm thinking it's YOUUUUU.

Minnie-Oh is a relatively rare example of my music taste going uber camp and GOD is it tremendous. Tyron needs to make a return to here pronto please.

16. Altyr Muunilinst // MDNGHT; Lana - I Will Lead You On

LV // 19th - 12pts

15. Skall // Clams Casino - I'm God

LVIII // 07th - 12pts

The lucky people of Altyr Muunilinst have the honour of being the first song to get my 12 points in the top 20 YAY. Their best entry to date (second being 'Dream of Bombay' which was ~32nd here) this takes you to some fantabulous highs. Not sure how it didn't rightfully storm the competition in LV, it seems to have most of the key ingredients, but anyway it remained high in my affections and manages to be the only song from the contest's final to enter here (Syndare's 'Operate' was super close though). And the first Skall entry was weirdly first heard months ago whilst stalking his personal chart and it lay hidden in the depths of there until Harve finally grew the balls to enter it and steal my 12 points. In a year where every dog was claiming to be A God this could just now be the best song i've heard to lay claim to that and that is HIGH PRAISE indeed!

14. N DNTN // Deptford Goth - Union

LII // 18th - 03pts

13. Espen // Novaday - Beautiful Lies

LIV // 14th - 12pts

N DNTN's second entry here took around 3 months to fully hit but even back in March it did enough to secure a few points. One of Chris' more subtle entries this year but made all the more special for that. Beautiful vocals (and visuals) the song is a powerhouse waiting to explode but just manages to hold off before doing so. Stunner. And bringing a bit of LIFE to proceedings like only CAL-can is the gloriously uplifting R&B-infused Espen at their very best. Scoring maximum points (and narrowly beating a jam still to feature) the song was on repeat for days during the contest and opened up the summer early, in style.

Two already *.* Although perhaps that's it, I know you were never as taken with Belanger as with Jaymes. If ONLY you'd given 'Sweetness Alive' more than 1pt it wouldn't have done so poorly - especially in comparison!

Good calls everywhere - especially liking the surprise placements of 'Step Up' and 'Marabou' so far, Aquafina did get it very right on a couple of occasions this year.

12. Trifoski // The Kite String Tangle - Given The Chance

LIX // 01st - 12pts

11. Isconia // The Irrepressibles - Two Men in Love

LI // 3rd - 10pts

Trifoski's latest winner (that i'm NOT bitter about; 2nd is more than i could have ever dreamed of for 'Embrace') stormed to dizzying heights helped by a Haus 12 that was pretty much secured from the first listen. Deeply sexy vocals accompanied with a pulsating beat, the song fully deserved the gold and it's mammoth point total. So recent and still a huge hit on this countdown, the song will be flying high for me for a long, long time. And back to start again with Isconia who manage to just miss out on the BIGTOP10 with a truly phenomenal track. Haunting and captivating from the word go, there's not a single second of the epic track that i'd change here. It all builds at a beautiful snail's pace before culminating in an orgy around half-way through. An orgy that climaxes over and over again before crashing back down and leaving you slightly sweaty & tired but still wanting so much more.

Yay, I too was surprised by how badly MDNGHT did. Silly other countries.

Well at least it got support from your biggest fan (me). Gave it 3 points, the only points I gave you this whole year :D After I voted for you in 3 of the latter 5 contests of 2012 somehow. Still, you've literally voted for me once ever so ~

10. Persephonia // Truls - Out Of Yourself

LIII // 03rd - 10pts

Persephonia score their first (and only?) entry by soaring into the top 10 with this slice of undeniably infectious pop. The almost androgynous vocals of the lead singer confused many a voter, but it didn't hold back the song from receiving huge points back in April. Interestingly the (still beautiful) song that pipped this to the 12 points (Sandebörg's 'Dance Our Tears Away') is the only 12 pointer to not feature in the top 30 despite the massive love i still hold for it. 'Out of Yourself' was accompanied with an equally as eccentric music video and helped to create the full perfect package and one of my top 10 favourite entries of the year. Congratz B-)

09. B.a.N.G // Eli & Fur - Tonight

LII // 08th - 12pts

Bringing the bangerz thick and fast, B.a.N.G have managed to creep up to my 6th most pointed country of the year despite only entering around half of the contests. And it's due to absolute monster hits like this that made it so easy. 12 points back in March were a given for this darkly euphoric number that gets right down deep into your skin. Would work well as an instrumental but the stunning vocals take it to a whole new level. I managed to somehow forget about the song until only recently and have loved basking in the sounds of it all over again. Not so strange an obsession.

ditto on the eli & fur love.

and didn't realised you were such a Deptford Goth fan! maybe my memory is just failing me but YAY, i always see it as my most forgotten entry :(
