Yeah, because collaborating with Flo Rida guarantees you a #1, as seen with "Higher" scraping the top 10 -_-

They should of gone with Pitbull instead then :P

They should have gone with Calvin Harris. :kink:

What About Us won't go to #1. It's had good TV airplay but the poor amount of radio airplay (from my experience) has guaranteed that What About Us won't go to #1.

It was sent to radio two weeks ago and is already #72 on Airplay, I wouldn't say it's had a poor amount of radio airplay as it's entered the top 100 than previous singles.

The gap between Thrift Shop and the rest continues to widen

I'm hoping "Thrift Shop"'s success isn't too great that "Same Love" and "Don't Hold Us" don't become hits also. All three sound very different, so hopefully they can be big on that basis. Regardless, it's fantastic to see "Thrift Shop" owning the #1 spot - I was listening to it back in November; hopeful of it being a big hit here in the UK.
Love the chart at this time of year with all the random on air releases and big returns the best songs seem to rise to the top whereas by the 4th quarter it's all about marketing and crappy one week number ones

Glad JT back on the rise! Brits performance will be great as well and a video soon, isn't going anywhere for a good while. :D

Hope Little Mix get top 10 with Change Your Life their best single release to date for me. :)

Rita Ora's new single Radioactive is definitely a grower as well, she should get top 10 with it.

Avicii's video for I Could Be The One is hilarious everyone should watch it.

I just wish she'd go away, she's bloody terrible.

'Radioactive' is the least bad of her singles though, but that doesn't say a lot and it still doesn't deserve to do well.

Radioactive is fabulous, generic as it is it's her best single yet and I hope it can go top 10. It would be a shame if it peaked lower than Shine Ya Light :(

I agree with this, Radioactive is fantastic and this is coming from someone who once changed their username to "RITA ORA IS SHIT".

Rita Ora's best songs are R.I.P and Hot Right Now. Nobody will care about any of the others in 12 months. I like Shine Ya Light too though.

The question though : is that because it's selling particularly well, or that the competition is selling badly?

What do you think? Of course it's selling particularly well, it's not as if Thrift Shop isn't very popular or the songs that are at the top end of the chart aren't very popular.

1. How We Do

2. R.I.P.

3. Hot Right Now

4. Shine Ya Light

5. Radioactive

I LOVE generic dance pop songs, but Radioactive just doesn't cut it for me, at all...

It is more the latter but that doesn't mean 'Thrift Shop' is selling poorly, it's probably selling close to if not over six-figure level.

01 Radioactive

02 R.I.P.

03 How We Do

04 Hot Right Now

05 Shine Ya Light

:D

Rita Ora is too shit to rate.

If this was on Twitter I would retweet it, if this was on Facebook I would like it.

I can't remember the last time I hated an artist so much, every single thing she does is god-awful (perhaps with the exception of 'Hot Right Now' which isn't even her song). Do the 300,00 people who bought her album not have ears?!
