Posted February 13, 201312 yr This years gangnam style? I think this song is going to be massive, and below is a compilation of how the Harlem Shake should be done......got to be one of the funniest videos i've ever seen on youtube MzrXSFriDmo
February 13, 201312 yr I detest it. :( Not a patch of Gangnam Style (and I loathed that after about 2 weeks.)
February 13, 201312 yr Top 3. The videos of people doing the Harlem shake have really blown up, even on my Facebook news feed! And this has R1 playlisting which Get Hyper didn't get.
February 13, 201312 yr The result of a Brazillian woman, a tiger & a my-first-DJ set alone in a room for four minutes? These Youtube crazes/novelty hits are starting to become too numerous, I'm not sure I'm on board with this one yet. That said, hearing this in a club must sound absolutely incredible. February 13, 201312 yr I have an awful feeling this is going to #1 and stay there for a few weeks -_- I should plan my holiday now.
February 14, 201312 yr REALLY GOOD. It was never really meant to be commercial though (God what an awful/pretentious thing to say), so unlike Gangnam Style, I doubt its popularity will carry beyond its videos. Flosstradamus are better.
February 14, 201312 yr It's a brilliant song. I hope it goes #1 but I think top 5. The melody is very catchy, and I love that weird lion-roaring sound in it!
February 14, 201312 yr Null voted, its blinking awful Unfortunately it'll at least be top 3, but it's HORRIFIC. I agree with you both - but as usual sod's law applies, the more I dislike a song, the bigger hit it'll be... Unfortunately the converse tends to apply, too. :(

February 14, 201312 yr I bet this sounds great in a club [/HelterSkelter@ChC] Anyway, I actually get why this is blowing up. What's not to love? I can imagine this being covered on X Factor later this year or maybe being the winners song, c'mon Cowell you know you want to - actually think they should have a eclectic music week, as well as TV Theme week on X Factor - that is a MUST. Otherwise it'll just be bland Emile Sande tracks for week after week until she occupies every position in the Top 40.

I hear Emeli is currently recording 'Read All About It' (Pt XVI) so who knows how many versions she plans on recording in total.
February 14, 201312 yr I hear Emeli is currently recording 'Read All About It' (Pt XVI) so who knows how many versions she plans on recording in total. Oh I've already heard that , it leaked last week. It's got Professor Stephen Hawking on it, in place of Professor Green. It's no 'Read All About It (Part VIII)' :( (the one with H.P. Baxxter from Scooter shouting 'More haggis ayyyeeeeeeee'). February 14, 201312 yr My personal favourite was "Read All About It (Pt. XII)" featuring guest vocals from Dido, Leona Lewis and Susan Boyle :( Edited February 14, 201312 yr by Thermometer
February 15, 201312 yr ...so, yeah, I did my own version of this today with some friends :P I'm the one in the mask... ZES3tW2JGWw As a 30-second ditty it's perfect - and clever because by watching so many of the videos it's somewhat ingrained itself into my head. By the end of the three-minute song though it feels a little repetitive, having basically achieved everything it wants after the first minute or so. Not sure I'd have listened to it more than once had it not been for the videos. It's refreshing at least to see something that seems so uncommercial getting such high a chart peak - in the noughties this would have got nowhere near the top 40!
