What songs do you think Radio 1 will add to their new playlist today? What songs would you like added?

 

Personally I think:

 

One Direction - One Way Or Another (pretty much a certainty)

Pink - Just Give Me A Reason (pretty sure they'll add this today)

The Saturdays - What About Us (at last week's meeting they said they were gonna come back to it this week)

The Vaccines - Bad Mood (they've ignored it until now but they usually support them so I think they'll add this today)

Kodaline - High Hopes

Alt-J - Dissolve Me

Peace - Follow Baby

 

They might now playlist Paramore as I think it's Scott Mills' record of the week.

 

I think if they're going to playlist Hurts, Nicole Scherzinger or Ke$ha, this will be the final chance those songs have of being added!

 

Nick Grimshaw played Paloma Faith's new single this morning but I think that's only because she was on the show and it would have been rude of them not to... I can't see them playlisting it after they ignored the last couple of singles but you never know.

I think The Saturdays and Icona Pop will be playlisted this week. Hurts possibly; Nicole Scherzinger will probably be snubbed this time round. One Direction are obviously a certainty for being playlisted this week too!

1D will be in the blist i would say!

 

The movements within the playlist will be the most interesting points this week - will the 1975 be moved into the alist - everyone seems to be loving it at the moment and the itunes chart suggests this due to it moving up the chart to the top 40 (good for an indie act). Alisting it would make a top 20 hit a big posiibility!!

I agree 1D will go straight to B-list.

 

From the B-list, I think these will move to A-list: The 1975, Bruno Mars, Olly Murs. And possibly one of Ellie Goulding, Example or The Script (fingers crossed it's The Script!)

 

Baaue, Drake, Frank Ocean, Maroon 5, Mumford & The xx should all move up to B-list.

 

Hope they add James Blake and Everything Everything (wouldn't mind seeing Haim, Of Monsters And Men and The Vaccines there too)

One Direction are a certainty, Paramore is quite likely and they might add CHVRCHES and Duke Dumont as well - might be too early for the latter though

I'm sure they said last week they wouldn't be playlisting Arlissa or Of Monsters & Men.

I thought the Haim song was already available as OA/OS? It's in the iTunes chart anyway. Although the release schedule has its impact date as 1st April? So going by that it's too early for it to be added.

Baauer could go straight from C to A like one song ('Thrift Shop' I think?) did a couple of weeks ago.

I just hope that Icona Pop gets playlisted, got my fingers crossed. If it gets ignored I will be quite surprised as I thought it would be right up their street.
