I'm completely off the radar with how this playlist works. How long before a release date are songs generally added? Basically I'm on the lookout to see if/when Britney will be added. :heehee:

Yeah I was thinking that about the Fatboy Slim song, they'll probably add it early if they have space! And I can't see them adding Union J after only C-listing their last one but you never know...

Usually about 3 weeks, I'd probably look out for that in mid-October (but I'm doubting they will add it).

Predictions for this afternoon's playlist? I'm going for...

Robin Thicke feat. Kendrick Lamar - Give It 2 U

Stylo G feat. Sister Nancy - Badd

Bruno Mars - Moonshine

Disclosure feat. London Grammar - Help Me Lose My Mind

Jay-Z - Tom Ford

Foxes - Youth

Katy B - 5am

Union J - Beautiful Life (think they might C-list this for a couple of weeks, if not this week, then next week)

Storm Queen will no doubt move up to the C-list.

Playlist predictions for later today...

Definite:

Little Mix - Move

Katy B - 5am

Probable:

Justin Bieber - Heartbreaker

Bruno Mars - Moonshine

Jay-Z - Tom Ford

The Wombats - Your Body Is A Weapon

The Killers - Shot At The Night (hopefully, although they've been a bit hit and miss with playlisting The Killers lately)

Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You (could be a week too early yet)

Taylor Swift feat. Gary Lightbody - The Last Time (they might not support a 5th single from this era but then again it's got the Snow Patrol guy on it so who knows)

Unlikely but you never know:

Britney Spears - Work Bitch

McFly - Love Is On The Radio (really hope they continue to support McFly although I'm not convinced they will)

Be interesting to see what they do with The Vamps, but presumably they'll just keep it on the C-list for another week or two before dropping it.

I hope they add The Killers and at least continue to support them through their GH era before snubbing them to Radio 2 on their next album.
Don't see much point in adding "Heartbreaker" if Bieber's record company will be pushing a different tune come Monday
Bruno Mars - Moonshine

Isn't 'Gorilla' the next single from Bruno? Not that I'd complain if 'Moonshine' is - it's an amazing song!

Other possibilities:

Breach (ft. Andreya Triana) - Everything You Never Had

Skream (ft. Sam Frank) - Rollercoaster

Martin Garrix - Animals

NONONO - Pumpin Blood

(the last one is probably just wishful thinking, but i'm hoping it gets at least SOME chance of being a hit!)

'Work Bitch' better get playlisted!

I think we should be looking out for it next week, if they're going to. That's about 3 weeks before release.

(I'm not expecting it though)

Taylor Swift feat. Gary Lightbody - The Last Time (they might not support a 5th single from this era but then again it's got the Snow Patrol guy on it so who knows)

I think this will have to reach the Top 40 first before they playlist it. If they're on the fence with Muse, I can see them being the same with Snow Patrol unfortunately.

Yeah, but Taylor Swift is unstoppable at the moment so it's more or less guaranteed.

Kind of like when they automatically playlisted the Dizzee/Robbie collaboration despite Robbie being in an even less firm position with them than Snow Patrol are.

Ideally they continue to support them even through the next album!

True, but surely there's got to be one main lead single... it's quite an odd strategy

I think it was originally but lately the new release schedule lists it as Moonshine so I'm not sure now.

Oh yeah, they should support Martin Garrix I would have thought.

Young Girls seems to be the song with the most potential commercial power, I wonder if it is just the dodgy lyrics preventing it from being a single.

It would be nice, but with Brandon Flowers releasing a new solo album next year kind of suggests we'll have a couple of years wait until the next Killers album sadly. :(

My predictions:

Martin Garrix - Animals (this is a definite, I think. If not this week, then next week.)

Little Mix - Move

Katy B - 5am

Stylo G feat. Sister Nancy - Badd (it has been pushed back a week to 28/10. They LOVED Soundbwoy earlier this year, so chances are good this will be added).

David Guetta Feat. Mikky Ekko - One Voice

The Wombats - Your Body Is A Weapon

Others I wish they'd add, but it's probably wishful thinking:

Union J - Beautiful Life

The Wanted - Could This Be Love

Cher Lloyd feat. T.I. - I Wish

Did they playlist the GH Mcfly song last Xmas?
