PRoJ looks more like scissors to me!

So yeah I've decided Defunctia generally looks ugly as fuck and I may attempt to redesign it at some point in the near future (possibly into 2 different continents). Will either include extra new spaces on it or move some of the more long-dead countries from the 'main' map onto it so there's more space as there are now less than 10 places available.

I'd say start a rolling clear out with anyone who hasn't participated within the last 45 contests and keep kicking some of the long dead ones out (keeping with the same 45 contest goalpost) every time you update the map for a new country or every quarter. ^_^

 

I know what you mean about Defunctia, I think it's because the dividing lines are so rigid and square...

That would just be because I'm lazy and couldn't be arsed to draw proper borders :kink: They'll look better after the redesign.

 

Purging countries after 45 contests of inactivity seems fair (well above the current record for longest gap between 2 entries, though Kellyana Kingdom will break that record if they do decide to return!) Faztickle, Iceyland, Priceville, Rossland and Tasha Island will be moved by that standard (the rest are already in Defunctia). I presume no one has any objections to this?

 

Would be good for FSR Rontvia to have some more active continent mates, Vinorel is literally just them, the inconsistently participating B.a.N.G and FNT Nickodonia (also Järkangel but they seem to have vanished again) plus a bunch of permanent inactives.

Welp, the new map with 2 much better looking southern continents is now open for business! Need names for the new continents, anyone have any ideas?

 

30 spaces for new countries now, that should be plenty for quite a while to come.

Bokia should be due to be purged from the main map after this contest but I think I will make an exception for them being as they're among the pioneers of BJSC. Respect for your elders and whatnot.

The Federal Republic is most displeased to note the lack of Dr. Bombay's Tigerland on the maps of Buzzjack since Persephonia took over the issuing of new maps.

 

Tigerland has been a territory of the Federal Republic since it was annexed in February 2012 following the 622TGA disaster.

 

Federal Forces anex Dr. Bombay's Tigerland

Earlier this evening the Ashton National Guard stormed the presidential compound of Dr. Bombay and executed him. The Federal Government had grown tired of Dr Bombay's Tigerland harbouring Ecoterrorists with anti-Ashton agenda's and their failure to compensate the victims of Flight 622TGA, the Tiger Air flight that was blown up near the City of Morpeth Cove whilst en-route to New England Harbour.

 

Following an Air and naval strike lasting 3months ground troops invaded the country last week advancing quickly to the capital. Following the execution of the president, the Federal Republic formerly announced the annexing of Dr Bombay's Tigerland.

 

In other news Ashtonise occupation of Botanikkan island territory is on going with the border between the two countries on the mainland remaining open in just three places.

 

 

The Federal Republic demands that it's territory be reinstated to maps of Buzzjack preferably in #15 with immediate effect.

Updated! Cumulonimbia have quickly capitalised on the large unclaimed territory north of FARC (source: PMed Doctor Blind) but still maintain their little exclave within the forders of FARC. (Also changed The People's Republic of Ginsay Lohands to their rather better new name - I don't know if it's meant to be all caps but it is in the national thread title so I've put it that way on the key).

Oslol's people grow weary of sandy beaches, and a recent embargo on sunglasses imports has caused prices to soar.

If pos can we migrate, we have a fleet of makeshift rafts made from unsold copies of Lim Kim at the ready.
