Hmm, not sure. I've just checked and it wasn't a promo single or something, it was the first and lead single. I noticed the 'impact date' was 4 January and the playlist may not have updated then, but I've checked and the Radio 2 playlist was updated then.

I'm not sure why they didn't playlist Miracle either. A lot of people I know said it sounded too much like other bands such as Coldplay/The Killers. Maybe it just wasn't distinctive enough for them. I personally loved it.

Didn't Radio 2 tweet them and Nicole Sherzinger in the same week and say they had more important (or something like that) songs to playlist? Nicole still got a hit - unfortunately Hurts didn't do so well out of being left off.

I think that was R1 who said that. Maybe R2 ignored the last Hurts track because it was sent out too early if the impact date was as long ago as the 4th Jan - it didn't get a release until the album came out did it?

Ah yeah, now you mention it you are right and I bet that's the reason why too. Such a shame...

Yay at Bonnie Tyler's Believe in Me moving up to the A-list, I've been loving it as of late. I thought Eurovision was all europop nowadays, but seemingly not! Nice to see Dido's End of Night and Stereophonics' Graffiti on the Train added too.

New Fun!! Also does anyone think that moving songs down the playlist like Pinks current one is worth doing on radio 1?
So good to see Radio 2 getting well behind our Eurovision entry, I'm starting to love it more and more and actually thinking we might not come bottom five this year!

Yeah I was thinking that, but if Radio 1 take a song off the A-list, they still play it a fair bit afterwards, so they sort of do this unofficially anyway don't they?

Ex-playlist songs are Radio 1's version of "oldies" I suspect, it's a US radio format where they play some to death for a year. I suppose when your target audience is 15, anything over 5 years old is ancient....

Radio 2's playlist is always interesting, though I'm not especially keen on the pigeon-holing of radio bbc stations into target audiences now, 1, 2 & 6 are all carefully programmed to not overlap much....

^^ Yeah your right bbc is trying to corner all the under 25s listening to radio 1 all the over 35s on radio 2 etc but im not sure you can pigeon hole people like that because some young people like to listen to a mixture of things so instead of just stopping playlisting Robbie or Stereophonics and moving them to radio 2 its best to have a mix on all the stations!

I'm starting to think we could be top 5! :w00t:

Also WOW @ Agnetha  I think it could actually scrape top 40 if it picks up some commercial airplay.
