March 10, 201312 yr No Freedom climbing! :cheer: Not going to reach the Top 40, unfortunately, but as long as it sticks around. 20 weeks for Go Your Own Way (I bet it’s missing a few weeks too), it’s download sales must be very good – did they reveal them when Lissie’s cover was about? Glad Dido held onto a Top 5 position, I just hope it doesn’t plummet next week. I approve at a Top 10 return for The Truth About Love, maybe stay there for a few weeks now that Just Give Me a Reason is in the Top 5 Singles. Eva Cassidy’s The Best of returning again – may need to have a listen to it as her version of Over the Rainbow is my favourite.
March 10, 201312 yr Gutted that Dido's album only reached #5 but happy that No Freedom went up to #51, higher than Don't Believe in Love!
March 10, 201312 yr For some reason I just knew Dido was going to drop to #5 in the end, with Bruno getting ahead of her in the albums, I really thought Stereophonics were a dead cert for #2, album sales must be on the very low side.
March 10, 201312 yr DIDO <3 outpeaking Don't Believe In Love i think. Glad she and the Phonics made top 5 in the albums.
March 10, 201312 yr Yay for Dido's climb. Knew she would but I still didn't think she'd be that high-more top end of the 60s. Shame she's only at 5 in the albums when that horrible Sande woman is still so high. Gutting for Stereophonics too in that respect.
March 10, 201312 yr Kate made #85!!! How many copies is that...1000? Good outcome for Dido in singles and albums. Well done to Bastille - GREAT album, well done to Justin for another week. Bruno can bugger off....save his romantic bs for his gf. One Direction....David Cameron anti-effect maybe?
March 10, 201312 yr Author Yay for 'Niggas In Paris' and 'Bangarang' both returning to the top 100 once more :D The latter is coming up to its 52nd week and the former passed that a couple of weeks ago. Great longevity for their peaks. 'Africa' returning as high as #67  Never thought Top Gear would have such a big effect on the chart, could hardly have been for a better song though. #55 for 'Mercy' isn't too bad but shame it's probably not heading for the top 40 now. 'Flaws' missing out on a re-entry is a bit :( but at least it's #43 and not #41. #9 is slightly underwhelming for Laura but at least she stayed top 10! OOOPS for Kate Nash, 1-8-85 for her albums now :drama: This one did have zero support though to be fair. 'Crazy Love' climbing 14 places - I wonder how many people have now bought this for their mum 4 Mother's Days in a row... :P Edited March 10, 201312 yr by Bré
March 10, 201312 yr Great climb for Olly Murs right place right time and also great to see incase u didnt know back in the top 40. I would have liked both Dido and Stereophonics to have charted higher but thankfully they have bot got top 5 debuts. Brian McFadden even though dropped alot from his midweek positions he still charted higher in the UK than Ireland which i didnt initially expect. Edited March 10, 201312 yr by Aphrodite
March 10, 201312 yr Fall Out Boy, Stereophonics, The 1975, Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard, The Lumineers and Bastille all top 40 at the same time? 2011 could never :o Yay at #1 for Bastille's great album, although it was hardly a surprise.
March 10, 201312 yr Shame Bastille couldn't quite hold on to #2 in the end, but 2 weeks in the Top 3 is great, and of course the #1 album :D Am I right in saying that this is 1D - Up All Night's lowest position so far at #40, and that in its 68 weeks it's never once left the Top 40? Cos if so, that's pretty astounding. I've said it before and I'll say it again... who the hell is still buying it?! Edited March 10, 201312 yr by mango

March 10, 201312 yr 66 weeks in the Top 40 is still a pretty impressive chart run then, especially as it's only had 7 weeks in the Top 10! But I can't get over who's still buying it when they're now midway through the second era!
March 10, 201312 yr Author 66 weeks in the Top 40 is still a pretty impressive chart run then, especially as it's only had 7 weeks in the Top 10! But I can't get over who's still buying it when they're now midway through the second era! Same could apply to Olly Murs' 2nd album (although that's been out of the top 40 a fair bit more than 'Up All Night'). It is rather incredible how 'Up All Night' continues to sell itself after it only produced one sizeable hit.
