I continue to have no words at the video for Earthquake, yet I just can't stop watching it!

 

And I have voted. As expected, this was quite comfortably the best final since XLV - five songs missed out on points which I would've voted for otherwise, the two that finished in 11th & 12th could've easily been top 5 in another final! :drama: I think the best thing was there were loads of countries that I don't usually vote for that sent songs I really like this time.

Once I whittled things down, there were actually only 2 songs besides my 10 that I really wanted to vote for; so not the best semi. Some gems though, only two of which I knew beforehand so a few great discoveries!

Just giving my shortlist another couple of run throughs before I vote. Good job really, as the order has changed numerous times and there are some real growers this month!

 

Like Semi 1 though, the worst songs aren't exactly "terrible", just average for me (5/6 out of 10 - but there just seems to be a lot of them and majority of them seem to blend into one etc.. etc..) So not the worst final, but most certainly not the best final I've been in.

My top 7 of the Semi 2 qualifiers are all better than anything in Semi 1. It's ridiculous how big the difference in quality is.

It's the opposite for me, I'm struggling to find anything in semi 2 that I can give points to :unsure:

Dear me talk about hyperbole! Both the semis are roughly the same. Semi 1 was ridiculously over-rated and felt like a bad version of UP at times but there were some good tracks to be had.

SF 2 was pretty pop-tastic with some of the tracks sounding extremely dated to me but again some pretty good tracks.

So overall a decent enough final, not as good as the last edition, but I had more than 10 tracks I wouldn't have minded voting for so I was pretty happy.

 

And my 12 pointer really wants me to track down the album.

now up to a better 17/48 votes, but got 31 sets to receive in the next <36 hours OOPS. come on people!! reminders sent out tonight.

I guess I'm easily pleased but I thought SF1, for the most part, was brilliant - my top 5 in SF1 are all *.*

Now that I've heard the SF2 qualifiers, there are a handful of tracks here that are also brilliant.

 

Will admit I found it a bit easier to order my tracks as I feel there are less highlights compared to BJSC LI. I have a gut feeling the winner of this contest is going to come from nowhere, it'll be a track that doesn't seem like a winner from the off but will probably collect a lot of middling scores. Looking at you Aeroche
