March 22, 201312 yr At least it's red and at #1, rather than red and at... #11! *Glass half full* :P I think they've done astonishingly well - for them to still be leading by a reasonably significant margin by Friday is fantastic compared to what we're used to from them. Obviously I too would like their second week to be 'respectable', but right now I'm just reveling that it's still #1. ^_^ Since Girls Aloud have split up, I'm going to stop being overly negative or too critical when it comes to The Saturdays. I really do like The Sats, and I'm pleased that they're doing so well this week. I'm determined to start appreciating them properly while they're still around, so I don't regret it whenever the day comes that it's them breaking up. Fingers crossed the release of the non-SP version keeps them steady next week!
March 22, 201312 yr I think they'll be steady for a second week tbh. What's out on Sunday? I think the release of the non-SP version will go top 40 at least with the Now version (providing it's not "album only" of course) going top 75. It'd have been nice for them to get another live lounge slot for Wednesday or something next week too (with them covering 'Mirrors', preferably) ;D but we can't have it all, can we? :P
March 22, 201312 yr I say that on Sunday morning, Justin will be #1. Obviously, too late, the girls would be #1 on the Official charts, but will most likely not chart at #1 again on the second week. Which is still huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge, don't get me wrong. I can't believe they are about to sell freaking 100k. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT? By the way, RED again ha.
March 22, 201312 yr You never know, the radio will play them more obviously if it gets to number one. The New Now That's what I call Music.... album is out on sunday so it will definatley be cherry picked due to it being number one. And they have the Alan Carr show which will hopefully defend mirrors off for a while
March 22, 201312 yr Thank god Alan Carr is tonight rather than tomorrow night. Fingers crossed it keeps them up there but I can't really remember if Alan Carr has much effect?? Even a bit of a boost will do. They probably did 8-9k yesterday, so 84-85k now. But I doubt they'd go any further below selling 8/9k, since Justin's been at #2 all week selling that much?? March 22, 201312 yr You know the best thing about the Now Version and the solo version coming out? All the versions on iTunes should start to rise again.
March 22, 201312 yr I wonder if Alan Carr will have any effect tonight. It would need to be a better performance than yesterday's.
March 22, 201312 yr Author I wonder if Alan Carr will have any effect tonight. It would need to be a better performance than yesterday's. I doubt it will have a massive effect, it should assure that it passes 100,000 though and might help them remain on iTunes for a day or two longer. Although I believe next week they will start increasing again. Ratings should be a bit higher as it's not up against Graham Norton.
March 22, 201312 yr Although Justin's gaining ever so slightly with every update, I think they can hold on until Alan Carr comes on!
March 22, 201312 yr Sunday & Monday 52k Tuesday 65k Wednesday 76k Thursday 87k I think they will do around 12k today cause of Alan Carr and tomorrow probably around 13/14k They could potentially do 112/113k I think :)
March 22, 201312 yr They could potentially do 112/113k I think :) If this beats One Direction's sales I will honestly die. :o
March 22, 201312 yr anyone know the sales differences between the girls and JT? Justin's on 51k, The Sats are nearing 88k.
March 22, 201312 yr OM-US-G no way! right now im happy with #1, a 100k week would make the iceing on the cake, but if they could stretch over that and beat 1D - well that would the cherry, sprinkles and sparkler blazing on top!
March 22, 201312 yr Justin has so far gained under 3% since the day started. Edited March 22, 201312 yr by MyDecember
