It's not a song that is in the vain of those two songs in any way (e.g. a novelty song) and a song that sells over 600,000 copies considering what I've just said is not a song that will just be looked back and cringed on.

 

I'm sorry but I do think that you are slightly biased with your hate sometimes.

 

I don't see how it can be biased when I have valid reasons for my opinions. :lol:

 

I think the song relies too much on gimmicks throughout the song: (a) Britney's British accent (b) "Britney bitch" for example. I doubt that if these two factors were taken out of the song, S&S would've been anywhere near as successful as it has been.

 

Also, it is quite similar to those novelty songs because novelty songs also rely on gimmicks to sell.

'Scream and Shout' would have been nowhere near as successful if it wasn't Britney Spears doing a British accent on the song. The rest of the song (Will's rapping, the chorus instrumental, the production) was very medicore and generic.

I really want 'Pour It Up' to do major things in the chart but it's only at #199 now. :( It is in desperate need of a video.
