Up entered and peaked at #5, and Ego reached its peak of #9 in its official release week.

Their only single to achieve its peak after its full week of release is 'Issues', climbing 6-4.

The statement wasn't about climbing to a new peak, the statement I responded to was about a Sats single climbing period. All the ones a listed did climb after being released, yes not to a new peak, but they did climb.

Well, then obviously there's a chance Gentleman goes from #99 to #95. But there's no chance it goes from #9 to #5, for example. And it's not because it's "The Saturdays" or anything, it's because there's no promo yet, they're always hugely front-loaded, there's no good radio or TV airplay and there's no hype around this song...oh and What About Us is getting more airplay right now than the actual single. All the other singles didn't really fall into that category, that's why they climbed at some point.

What Hurricane said!

I suppose "As if a Saturdays song is going to climb after its first week" was slightly ambiguous, but the insinuation was definitely regarding the possibility that 'Gentleman' could improve on its first week position - not about it climbing at any point during its chart run. It's highly likely that wherever 'Gentleman' enters at, will also be its peak!

I love this fact that Wildfire is more single worthy than gentleman!!

Have they confirmed any promo yet? Will be nice to see them as a 5-piece again.

Wildfire is yet again another brilliant b-side. Probably not as good as Not That Kinda Girl, or Ladykiller, but defiantly up there with those two. Come to think of it, haven't The Alias produced all three of those tracks? The verses are so good, and trust Mollie to get the Billie Piper reference. The chorus is good, but it feels like it doesn't build enough from verse to chorus. The production is spot on, I think it's more the melodic arrangement of the chorus. I love how it's not fully centred around one member either. Sounds very Una/Rochelle/Vanessa to me. Doesn't Vanessa sound amazing in this track as well?!

Nope, no promo has been announced yet!

They should be visiting Radio 1 / Capital and begin hyping up 'Gentleman'. I assume the promo's going to be This Morning, Friday Download and Jonathan Ross.

I could totally see them performing on Johnathan Ross where for every intro/outro they perform the Gentleman chorus (or maybe even What About Us). :)

They would open the show up performing the chorus of 'What About Us' as all musical guests perform a chorus of a previous hit.

I could definitely see them do that. I'm sure they can trust Rochelle to sound good and God if the four other girls can't do simple "nananana", then it's their problem.

I'd rather they got Graham Norton because performances on that show always have a massive effect plus it's a much better show imo but I'll take anything. :P

I wonder if this is the next US single?

I'm not sure if they will even release another US Single.

'Gentleman' remains on the B-List, songs out the following week are A-List.

Considering it will be a flop in the UK and they barely never acknowledge their flops, I doubt it.

Not Giving Up On Love is waiting, though.

Even if this flops (which it probably will) I'm glad they took the risk anyway. I love the song alot but the video is just awful and I'm really dissappointed at how badly it's doing on airplay, but they needed to try something different and they have so we can no longer criticise them for being generic or faceless.
NGUOL will hit #1 in 85 countries and people will be like one-who?

Right, watch Not Giving Up On Love ending up as a b-side...

I'm glad too, although I kinda wish it was the first single and What About Us the 2nd because it feels like they just took a big dive in the ocean right now. I have never wanted them to do something different than dance/pop music and hopefully they will be back at this soon.
