Isn't it listed as Judy Garland (Et Al.)?

She doesn't sing on it and OCC have confirmed it will be credited to Wizard Of Oz Cast

It's on a lot of tomorrow's front pages.. good publicity for the campaign. This is going to go down to the wire!

"BBC 'WITCH' SONG INSULT TO MAGGIE" scream the Daily Mail. 'BBC ding dong at Witch is Dead song' The Mirror.

What the hell does it have to do with the BBC?!

The right wing media are trying to put pressure on the bbc not to play it but in reality it will bring the campaign to more people!!

Yes because anyone who thinks the campaign is slightly tasteless must be right wing.

 9. Taylor Swift - 22

 10. Bruno Mars - When I Was Your Man

:cheer: Go Taylor!

Did he say that?

Are the right wing media the only ones to be bringing pressure (if indeed they are)? I don't know if so or not, but there are many posters on here who have expressed the opinion it is distasteful who certainly wouldn't describe themselves as right wing, perhaps other pressures are coming from that part of the media/ public opinion.

He replied to a post mentioning a far from ambiguous Mail headline suggesting that the right wing media were bringing pressure, and I'm inclined to agree.

Obviously the people in question, many of whom will be fairly politically neutral, aren't trying to wield influence in the same way but then again they're not in a position to.

I heard a rumour that the Conservatives have started a campaign to keep Duke Dumont at #1. The Big Top 40 Show will be very interesting to listen to on Sunday with Ding Dong! likely to be #1.

You'd think if some conservatives were going to do a campaign they'd rather support Pink and Nate.

At first I thought Radio 1 would definitely play it, but I'm not sure now. I'd say it's an even bigger risk for the Big Top 40 Show to play it.

I wonder if we'll ever see Kiss Me Thru the Phone in the top 1500 ever again. It's really overshadowed by Crank That and Turn My Swag On now.

The campaign is all over the news this morning, I believe this will now lead to a surge in sales. :(

Banning records is the first step to making them explode: See "Relax" in 1984. When will the rich right-wing press learn?

While I admit the timing of the campaign is in poor taste, I cannot separate that from my personal loathing of Thatcher, which is why I voted 'Amusing' in my own poll.

They made the same mistake when they tried censoring Fairytale Of New York a few years ago, so the answer is 'probably never'.

I want Judy Garland to go to #1 now. Just for the reaction that it would provoke. :D
