James Arthur is starting to fall more greatly now, still I would never have thought at Christmas it would still be in the charts in April. Eamon's F*ck It (I Don't Want You Back) is back - is this solely because of Radio 1's Big Ones show or is it 59p too? Great to see Caro Emerald and Rihanna's Pour It Up make the Top 100, it would be nice if the former could make the Top 40 with all the airplay it's been receiving. I could see Pour It Up have a Man Down chart run at best unless something drastic happens. Would be better to just call it a promo single really.

No surprise to see Paramore debut at number one, hopefully with over 40k+. May give it a listen as the two singles are great. Woo for David Bowie remaining Top 10 and Caro Emerald returning to the Top 15, hoping the latter artist's upcoming album will be a Top 3 debut. I'm not that much of a fan of the album but it's nevertheless great to see Laura Mvula re-entering the Top 40 (don't recall a jump on iTunes though), along with returns for Fleetwood Mac and David Bowie's greatest hits and Dido back after leaving the mids.

"Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead" is number one on the Scottish singles chart!
Was a bit dissapointed Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell's version of Ain't No Mountain High Enough didn't chart this week. It had been around the 75-ish mark on iTunes for the majority of the week.

Radio 1 made a right hash of the Wizard Of Oz song earlier...

Oh, I can't post a link here :( But it's on my Toptellyfan Youtube channel, or search for "Ding! Dong! The Witch is Dead - How Radio 1 explained not playing it" on Youtube.

Caro needs to get Tangled Up into the top 75! Ignition, Ride Wit Me, Truly Madly Deeply, Yeah, Best Thing I Never Had, Ridin' Solo, Better Together all keeping it out. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em - she needs a 59p discount!

'The Scientist' joining in with all the 59p old song re-entries despite still being 99p - I know it was performed on The Voice but it held up far better than other songs from The Voice so I'm guessing there's some other reason for its re-entry as well. Whatever the reason, great to see it back again! New peak for 'Retrograde' also :D Would be nice if it could climb further and go top 75 but I won't hold my breath on that one.

Eamon back in the top 100 in 2013 :drama:

PSY's 'Gentleman' has debuted in the top 100 in the same position as 'Gangnam Style', a sign of things to come? :P I see it's now top 10 on iTunes, wasn't sure it'd manage it! Hope it can get top 10 officially next week, actually really liking it now.

Feels a bit too slow for me. I liked Gangnam Style, but I won't be troubling myself with this one again.

Given that All We Know Is Falling repeaked at #51 when Brand New Eyes charted, that's quite a poor show for there to be no old Paramore albums in the top 75. I'd imagine that Riot! has been trickle selling fairly well for a while since it's had three and a half years since BNE so it would have taken a really big album for it to return particularly high up.
Quite an interesting Top 40 this week actually - decent climbs for Iggy Azalea, Paramore, AlunaGeorge & Nicki Minaj, and then new peaks for Pitbull, Nelly, Taylor Swift, Calvin, Imagine Dragons... I'm disappointed Bastille didn't get a 5th consecutive week at No. 5 but really impressed at how it's holding up, I don't think anyone would have predicted this level of success for Pompeii!!

But still more people bought 'Gangnam Style' last week than 'Gentleman'.

Yeah I know it's only a part week for Gentleman but it just shows the longevity of Gangnam Style.
