June 13, 201312 yr When we recently met Iggy Azalea, she joked about her billing as a new artist. It's true that the Aussie fem-cee has been releasing mixtapes for years, but it was sleeper hit 'Work' that really brought her to the forefront of the music scene earlier this year. Her emergence is one she wants to pursue even further, and intends to do so with her new single 'Bounce'. It's clear from the off that the beats and squiggles have been ramped up to summer anthem level - however, the lyrical content suffers from its pop-friendly sheen. "All about money, the nice never ending/ We party til morning, tomorrow we kick it," Iggy trills with her American-tinged drawl, before the breakdown chorus causes you to adhere to the song title's command. It may feel slightly lighter than Azalea's previous efforts, but if it means she crosses over into superstardom territory, it's a job well done. 4/5 http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/singlesr...gle-review.html Iggy Azalea is the hottest Female artist to hit the music industry and it’s not surprising. Her style, sound and whole attitude screams Superstar. She oozes everything that someone needs to be successful and she is showing everyone the real Girl Power. Her lyrics are punchy, fast and straight to the point and her latest single ‘Bounce’ is no different, so I loved hearing the news there was a remix version following its footsteps. The Remix is a Green Lantern‘s Trap Remix and it gives a whole new twist and edge to the already incredible song. When I first heard the original I didn’t get an instant liking to it, however the more I heard it the more I began to realise why it was going to be such a good hit. And the remix of it just gives it that extra punch that makes you want to play it on repeat over and over again. I’ve also discovered it makes a great gym workout song as it gets you so amped up to give it your all. ‘Bounce‘ Its a great listen and so energetic, with the video to match Iggy Izalea is one hot piece of property in the industry right now, and so she should be. She has collaborated with some of the finest artists including T.I. and I cant wait to see who else she has lined up to feature. The latest single ‘Bounce‘ is definitely a song that makes you want to get up and shake your booty along to. The beats through out just give it that extra little something and the remix version is a great club track. I love what she has given to the music industry and I am waiting in anticipation for her next release. I also can’t wait to see her perform live, everything about her you want to be… http://musiceyz.co.uk/2013/06/12/bounce-by...-azalea-review/
June 13, 201312 yr This is a definite top 3 smash, I'll be incredibly shocked if not. I don't think it's a definite top 3 smash, I doubt Iggy will open up with sales off over 60,000 which I'm sure Blurred Lines, ' I Love It ', ' Love Me Again ' will all still be selling over 70,000 in two weeks time, I predict Iggy will debut at #06.
June 13, 201312 yr I'm fine with a top 10 position so I'll be very happy for her if that's the case :D Edited June 13, 201312 yr by jmmc
June 13, 201312 yr Why do they insist on ignoring her? :( Is that surprising? They ignore like 99% of hip hop artists, and even the most famous ones in the world (e.g. Drake, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Eminem, etc.) don't get their songs played on there. Even big chart hits like Not Afraid and Niggas in Paris didn't get played on the station. If Capital do support Iggy, it'll be quite suspicious imo, but I think she has a better chance since she's a white, attractive female.

I guess you're right but "Bounce" seems like such an appropriate song for them, idk :/ they'll probably just ignore her again with this single.

But I can see Capital jumping on board with Bounce it if it does well in the charts.
June 13, 201312 yr I think Capital will playlist it as 'Bounce' is more similar to Nicki Minaj's style of hip/hop than Eminem and Kanye West which is perhaps less accessible to a casual listener.
June 13, 201312 yr Kiss FM has been playing this regularly: http://playlist.kissfmuk.com/ It's also on Choice FM's playlist: http://www.choice-fm.co.uk/music/the-playlist/ but I don't think they've been supporting it as much as Work so far
June 14, 201312 yr ^ Yeah, those stations will play all her songs I think. Basically all the urban-ish stations are playing it. Rinse FM have been playing Bounce (it's in their top 10 most played songs) and also Radio 1Xtra of course. They play some of Drake and Eminem songs well there most commercial songs anyway. I'm big fans of both of them, and honestly Capital hardly ever plays anything they released. Ever since Galaxy (which would've played all of Iggy's songs absolutely no question about it) got replaced by Capital, all I've heard from Eminem on there has been Love the Way You Lie (also Lighters from the Bad Meets Evil album got played a lot). My Life was put on the playlist, but I never, ever heard it. Even I Need a Doctor never got played on there. From Drake, from his solo albums all they played was Find Your Love and Take Care. They also played Bedrock (and of course What's My Name?). I never heard Moment 4 Life on Capital. That's off the top of my head, I may have forgotten something. At night-time they sometimes play songs like Adorn, Crew Love, etc. Especially for Drake, who has a new song out like every few weeks, that's really poor how few songs they played from him. They only play him if he collabs with Rihanna it seems lol. And I honestly think the only reason Bedrock and Find Your Love got played in 2010 was because Capital was trying to transition slowly from the rhythmic Galaxy to the pure pop Capital, rather than doing it suddenly overnight.
