The OA/OS release of Get Lucky means that Tove Lo, who had previously looked like getting a multi week stint, is ousted from the top after just one week. Aside from Daft Punk, the only other new track to the top 10 is from CHVRCHES as Recover finally edges it's way up to eighth spot in it's tenth week on chart. Other new entries this week come from Jessie Ware (11), Joywave feat. KOPPS (19), Clean Bandit (22), Poliça (24), Postiljonen (30/debut hit) and Sky Ferreira (37). To me it really is the most instant and likeable track of the year so far, it sounds really fresh yet is so obviously them. AMAZED it's still doing so well on itunes though, I was convinced it would have fallen to about #5 by now! :o (weirdly, it also is one of the few songs that I would describe as subtle and catchy at the same time) • Glad Clean Bandit has grown on you also. They remind me of Basement Jaxx for the 2010s, their tracks are so mixed up in styles and it all works really well for me. • Poliça! Lies! You don't even have access to youtube! :o :D

Human After All wasn't great... Very good top ten on the whole actually, Habits, Oblivion, Overdose and Sacrilege are all very good too :D

I initially thought 'Uncover' by Zara Larsson would be a contender for my longest running #1 of 2013 but looks like Daft Punk may well have put a spanner in those works. 'Get Lucky' looking likely to be #1 this Sunday too and looks like this is going to top a fair few personal charts this week. :dance: 06 - 04 Little Daylight “Overdose” 45-09-01-01-01-01-01-03-02-01-04-06 (12) Because of the way my chart is formatted, 'Overdose' enters this week at #13 but looking set to climb over the coming weeks. 08 - 11 CHVRCHES “Recover” 44-29-29-28-29-31-27-20-11-08 (10) 'Lies' still remains my fave track from CHVRCHES whilst this did provide them with a third top 20 hit in my chart. 15 - 20 Duke Dumont “Need U (100%)” 34-20-15 (03) I guess being held back for so long means people might have actually become bored of this when it was released. It really is great to have them back, I think I need to make myself a Daft Punk best of ASAP as I can't get enough of them right now... I've played Get Lucky about 18 times today and I'm still not bored! 06 - Fantabulous also! Maybe Overdose could become another Fljótavík top 10 hit on your chart? I shall wait and see! :o 15 - I managed to avoid the track and only heard it once it became a #1 in the UK. I guess, unlike you, I don't watch enough of The Box or Chart Show TV!!! 17 - I'm not sure why Wolves has had such a dip actually! I do still like it but I'm loving all of my top 20 right now, it's definitely suffered as a result as it's had quite a short top 10 run for a two week stint at #1. I especially love the Kate Bush-esque vibes of it - plus I suspect I may be very fond of the AQ in the end as it's becoming quite clear that Valentina is going to flop big time I think and at least it's ensured that I haven't lost my run of final appearances quite yet. :D 20 - I really do hope that Icona Pop get the hit they deserve. It's gone full circle with me, I loved it when it first surfaced on the blogs and then I grew tired of it quite quickly... then it just exploded in my affections at the end of last year and I suddenly realised that it was far better than I had initially given it credit for. I was going to recommend which songs you should listen to out of the ones you've not heard but I'm not sure where to start... Maybe Joywave? Especially as their mixtape is free from their site so it won't leave you out of pocket to do so! Maybe London Grammar too if you get chance, the title track is a little bit like Massive Attack's early material.
