To be honest, I think this might still go top 40 eventually. But I doubt it'll be at 75,000 yet. If it's selling about 5,000(?) a week it will take a while. I think Rack City is only a bit over 100,000 and that had a much longer chart run with a higher peak too.

I hope it doesn't it is a terrible song, I hate it.

This new Dizzee Rascal song is amazinggggg, hopefully it'll outpeak 'Bassline Junkie'.

Lol, I heard it once and thought it was completely crap. I much prefer Bassline Junkid

Although, having said that Bassline Junkie took a while to grow on me so maybe this will be the same

Your right but radio 1 alisting means your song is played once EVERY dj show, so before a song is released/week of impact they will play a song once every 3 hours or so!

No it doesn't, it means the track is played on Radio 1 around 20 times a week - it does not guarantee a play on every show throughout the day!

Radio will maybe just play the Robbie Williams collaboration released in June instead of H-Town though so might not peak as high as BJ. Now Dizzee and Robbie together on a single this should put radio 1 in a pickle lol

On the week leading up to its release it does, although this statement isnt scientific, its a generalised statement!

Maybe for every day time (4am - 7pm) show but after 7, most of the tracks being played throughout the daytime are not even glimpsed at. Daft Punk is obviously the exception recently.

Can't believe Daft Punk are somehow even further ahead than they were before. Rudimental down to 0.41 now. Speaking of which, does anyone know when the video for Get Lucky is out? It should boost sales even more when it's released

They play a particular song that's popular on their playlist every four hours. When I've listened to Radio 1 throughout particular days recently, I've measured the amount of time a song that was playing at that particular moment was last played.

I wonder if 'Get Lucky' will be a million seller? 2013 needs one.

Get Lucky will defiantly be a million seller. There's no doubt about that!

Thrilled to see this on the way out now, we don't need it clogging up the charts again!

 30. Carly Rae Jepsen "Tonight I'm Getting Over You"

Shocked this is doing relatively well after "This Kiss" (which was much easier on the ears) only managed a low T200 peak.

I'm really hoping Wretch 32 will smash with 'Blackout' when it is released next weekend. Petite Noir works his magic yet again on the remix.
Daft Punk seem to be doing better than ever on iTunes now - probably the Friday Night out effect. The #100 is down at 1.27% and probably doing 2.5K per week pace - which suggests Get Lucky is on nearly 200K per week pace.

Nice to see this getting a significant weekend effect boost!

After performing on Alan Carr and Graham Norton Show respectively tonight.

Dizzee collabed with Shakira (another artist who Radio 1 seems not to like), and they didn't play the song. But on the other hand they played Scream & Shout even though it featured Britney.

I think it will definitely sell a million. I really can't think of such a unanimously liked song, and a song which has such major crossover appeal. I think it could challenge for highest digital sales of all-time maybe.

The difference of course being that Dizzee was only a featured artist on that Shakira song. I think the Dizzee and Robbie song will definitely be playlisted, R1 don't hate Robbie as much as they do Shakira/Christina Aguilera etc.

I think it's too soon for it to have a "Friday night effect" because it's too new. I genuinely think that it's selling from being a brilliant song at the moment.

Even though they refused to playlist his biggest selling song for years last year?

That's quite a prediction, given it would need around 1.5m sales to do that.

But who knows? This track has constantly surpassed expectations. Remember after those first two days when it entered at no.3 people thought that it was just a fanbase buy and it would never sustain itself to be no.1 the following week? That seemed reasonable at the time.

And who would have thought it would get anywhere near the 155k it sold in that first full week the following week, as it looks likely to do.
