September 3, 201311 yr I wish 'fallingforyou' would get more attention, it's my favourite 1975 song :( it's too different to go T100 sadly.
September 4, 201311 yr 'Heart Out' is the free single of the week on iTunes, one of my favorites on the album
September 20, 201311 yr Did a double review of this and Arctic Monkeys, still think it's excellent. http://pressplayrepeat.wordpress.com/2013/09/19/1975/

October 23, 201311 yr The 1975 have released their "oh, aren't we so self-referential and meta" video for "Girls". Which they claim subverts the expectations of what's expected in a mainstream pop video by...giving us exactly what we expect from a mainstream pop video. QkubQCI4Fxo I'm sure the same group of feminists who gave the video for Blurred Line a kicking will be doing the same for this one in the near future.
October 23, 201311 yr Publicity innit. I can't see there being anywhere near the furore that there was for "Blurred Lines" because: 1. Less / no nudity 2. More explicitly tongue-in-cheek 3. It won't sell as much I can't decide whether it's great or just like Duran Duran on a really bad trip. I still love the song but I've moved onto "Heart Out" now.
