Are you all ready to play, welcome to the 13th edition of Unknown Pleasures, I'm your host this month, newcomers to the comp are welcome to play but its first come first serve as there are only 32 places to fill. Hopefully everything will go according to plan, this is my first time hosting this contest on here, hopefully it won't be a complete disaster. :snif:

 

 

The all important rules

 

01 The artist or band of your choice must not have reached the top 40 singles chart in the UK.

02 The artist or band of your choice must not have reached the top 20 albums chart in the UK.

03 The song must not be on the current UK release schedule.

04 To enter the competition you must send an MP3 by PM and also include a link to the song on (preferably) using YouTube, Vimeo, or Soundcloud. I’m not all techno know how to string MP3s together but I give it a go if it goes to pot you tube or other services will have to do.

05 The MP3 must be either 256 or 320kbps. Low quality files have always struggled within the competition and thus are at a disadvantage.

06 You must not choose a song that has been previously entered or else I get my phaser gun out.

07 Songs from the same artist will not be allowed to participate in the contest simultaneously.

08 You must not reveal or hint at which song you have sent otherwise your entry will be teleported.

09 I reserve the right to refuse an entry if I feel it does not comply within the rules of the competition.

Closing date for all confirmations 8th May 2013, 10pm, or when all 30/32 places are full, if it goes over by 1 or 2, I will let thru. PM me your entry as soon as you can. You can change your entry if you wish at any point of the confirmation stage if you change it too many times I shall have to zap you with my phaser gun. Any questions just fire away and I get back to you when I can.

On a separate note, the timing of UP is better now, before the next BJSC comp gets in full swing, the final won't clash. I will be announcing the final on a week day, still needs to be arranged. Once all 32 tracks are in, the voting thread will be up the following morning.

Anyway, I have a song I think - its a bit of a grower and I'm not entirely sure its the right crowd to do well, but I think I'm gonna try anyway.

I know a song that will surely get entered and surely come top 3 if so. Tempted to send it myself, but there are so many less obvious songs to send! Holy Other finishing 6th was INSPIRING.

Okay I've found an entry! It was one that I was vaguely considering for BJSC (but hadn't told anyone about). Think it'd be a bit better suited to UP. Still expecting another bottom 10 though.
