Bastille seems to be holding up pretty well. Still love it.

Sadly this run suggests that Need U wasn't the smash of the Summer we all expected it to be :( Was hoping for more than 5 weeks in the top 10 when it came out, but I can't argue with 2 weeks at #1, so well done Duke for that!

5 weeks in the top 10 is still very respectable, surely?

5 weeks top 10 is pretty good for a dance track. They have less appeal with the casual music buying public generally.

Although Pink rose to prominence as an R&B singer in the classic '90s LaFace mould, a front displayed on her debut CAN'T TAKE ME HOME, it was when she took control of her own image in 2001 that she truly became an icon. While the Linda Perry (4 Non Blondes) composed hit "Get This Party Started" strayed not all that far from her initial dance-pop path, the remainder of M!SSUNDAZTOOD revealed an artist schooled in the punk tradition. Further recordings wandered down multiple paths, cementing Pink's reputation as a genre-bending pop songstress. - HMV

It still seems like it's been absolutely huge in real life (at least to me), and it was popular for quite a while before it debuted in the chart as well.

I never get bored with the P!nk track is just so beautiful, has to be my favourite track from the album now.

5 weeks top 10 is pretty good for a dance track. They have less appeal with the casual music buying public generally.

You're right I guess, but I still think if they released Need U a few weeks earlier it would have 7-8 weeks top 10.

#thatPOWER

Really looking forward to hearing Armin in the chart tonight.

Prediction:

06 Armin van Buuren

07 David Guetta

Really hope Armin is higher than Guetta tonight! His song is miles better.

People need to realize that the longer the public have to wait for repressed tracks like "Need U" and "What About Us?", the shorter the chart run will be compared to tracks that got an early release.

I can't resist it any more. '#thatPOWER' has grown on me :(

I think we know that, but it seems the record companies do not :(

Blurred Lines for instance should be released right now!
