That would be Robert Syms who used to be my MP until they moved the boundaries. I met him once and was not impressed. He is just another typical MP with a safe seat. Yes, sounds like you're a neighbour of mine:) Well done on helping Annette, I like her and have always voted for her. Yes, Mr Syms wasn't very sympathetic when I wrote over a particular issue, his reply was somewhat abrasive, abrupt and amounted to "stop whingeing, I haven't got that problem therefore it doesn't exist" (followed by shrug shoulders). I wasn't going to name names but now you've "outed" him, fair enough and I agree with your assessment B-) cheers! john

May 17, 201312 yr What happened? :o It was a small public meeting (only a couple dozen people) held at a time when the age of consent for gay men was being discussed - it was 21 at the time. I asked him who the victim was if a 22-year-old man had consensual sex with his 20-year-old boyfriend and he was not very polite in his reply. He was even less polite when I answered back (politely).

July 23, 201311 yr I know exactly who he is - the most obnoxious and boorish Labour MP in the HOC. I won't say his name because I won't waste my breath on him. I also have the dubious privilege of being represented at Holyrood by wee Johann! At least my four councillors all do a decent job with one Labour guy deserving of a personal vote.

Anyway, Johann's not THAT bad! :D She's actually quite nice to talk to as a person but I don't rate her as a politician. Nae guts to stand up to Westminster, although she's supposed to be the leader of the Scottish Labour Party including Scottish Labour MPs.
