Oh I'd be SO DOWN with DAME SHIRL (1.0)

She has the VOX, and she's a living legend in a way that Engelbert and Bonnie never even managed. That'd be a PROPER impressive catch for the BBC (and therefore it almost certainly isn't her)

Pretty much this for me too. I really can't see her doing it though, sadly.

Yes, DSB would be an improvement on Engelbert & Bonnie but there's no way she'd stoop so low as to do eurovision, not even if she had anything to plug.
Somebody on my Facebook timeline just mentioned Rebecca Ferguson. Can you imagine if this long talked about summer dance anthem of hers was for Eurovision? *.*

I absolutely adored her covers of Sweet Dreams and Show Me Love on X Factor :P

I can't see it being Rebecca

Rebecca would be fab, so of course it won't be her :P

People on Twitter now seem to think that the UK entrant will be announced tomorrow and Matt Cardle is the latest artist to be rumoured along with this announcement rumour.
I'm expecting nothing until I at LEAST see a reputable tabloid saying something about a splash.
Anyway, as IF Matt Cardle would do it. He got arsey enough about having to wear yellow trousers on the X Factor - could you IMAGINE him even considering Eurovision?

Well I don't believe we'll get an announcement tomorrow or that it will be Matt, but I just thought I'd make us aware of the admittedly very small possibility of something happening tomorrow.
another rumour going round on twitter is that su pollard could be our entry...

Death is as option

I would rather SU than Matt f***ing Cardle. That c**t needs to be resigned to the rubbish bin of musical history.

I would be up for this. Her vocals would fit marvellously over a dance track and it would be good for the UK to submit something with an ounce of credibility.

Sadly, I don't think it's her...

I'd rather Jemini than Su Pollard. Defo not Su Pollard, either the BBC will:

a) send a has-been but with a strong (enough) legacy to pull in the ratings or;

b) send a relative unknown/x factor type with a convincing track.

If I remember correctly, one of the biggest signs that Bonnie was going to be our representative last year was that her website was in the process of being relaunched in the days before her Eurovision announcement.

Adele is relaunching her website. :kink:

Digital Spy forums are now suggesting Scissor Sisters after Ana Matronic tweeted to say she will be in London in March and she was the UK's commentator in last year's semi finals. Also Jake Shears is one of the mentors on The Voice next weekend and he has previously said he would love the Scissor Sisters to represent the UK in Eurovision here.

The Scissor Sisters would be amazing but I don't believe we'll get them even if Ana commentating last year was an unexpected choice - people suggest she was commentating last year so she could see what Eurovision was all about before potentially representing the UK this year.

I doubt it'll be Scissor Sisters, even if it'd be an amazing decision. They're on hiatus, aren't they?
