If anything I'm shocked they've bothered changing tact. From the BBC point of view it made far more sense to send a famous dinosaur for ratings who never stood a chance of winning, saving them the potential cost of that. The prevalence of the 'it's all political!' crap meant the BBC were never really accountable for bad choices, so they could do that as long as they liked.

Not that I'm complaining at ALL about this volte-face *.*

Exactly right!

They'd get the ratings with no backlash and no chance of winning.

However, maybe every few years they want to look like they're making an effort to stop calls to leave it during cut backs and to keep interest over the next few years with the ol crooners.

I love Eurovision but even I'm starting to get sick of hearing Te Deum for the billionth time. :puke2:
I've always wanted to visit the UK *crossing fingers for London 2015*

Oh amazing. This is SO Delta-esque, right down to the title. Her voice has a Gabrielle-esque quality to it.

This will be a big hit for the UK, such a step-up in quality.

I liked that! It doesn't sound AMAZING, so I'm not gonna get carried away but this is a definite step up in quality from Englebert and Bonnie. The sound was a bit quiet actually, so I'm looking forward to hearing it where the production sounds at it's most emphatic. I'm a fan!
It is a bit Margaret Berger/Yohanna as described earlier in the thread! Loving it, it sounds like it could be MASSIVE :o Brillianr entry, should surely be our best finish since Jade Ewen?

tbh the bridge is fabulous.

Very uplifting and has an anthemic feeling to it. Should do well but I will wait until I hear the studio version to judge it fully.

She so likeable too! Not that it matters for Eurovision, but glad it's not a bitter old hag for once!

The sound in this telecast was pretty shit but the song is ÜBER catchy and it's so so so anthemic. This MUST slay in Copenhagen and I hope they put on a showstopping performance for it!

I'm actually proud of a UK entry ever since I moved here. HURRAH!
