April 6, 201411 yr I'm the opposite, that new live perf has totally reignited my love for it! It really does sound much, much better live than in studio form, which is a good thing for the contest I guess.

April 6, 201411 yr I'm not even sure why, but the opening line of Even If has always sounded absolutely hilarious to me. I guess just because its such a ridiculous pile of SHITE.

I wish someone would remix it and give it some 'umph' - then it really would be a good pop song - if only the freemasons were reading my post! i can't see this charting very well. I much prefer the live set up without the backing vocalists but i think we will be back to that at ESC due to pre-recorded vocals not being allowed to be used. The performance is still 'missing' something - maybe stage presence? Needs working on anyway. Love her hair here too. I know i am a whinging eurovision fan but seriously - when are we getting a music video?! and some more info on her promo tour etc Fed up of waiting for details =D

April 6, 201411 yr Where was that performance from? The crowd were properly LOVING it by the sounds of it. This is definitely one of those songs that translates and works so much better in LIVE form. Absolutely brilliant!

It was in 'Eurovision In Concert' in Amsterdam which happened last night I believe, over 20 of this year's artists took part. :D

I actually quite liked Even If :o It was a Michael Jackson ripoff and was doomed from the start but it was better than the birdie dance monstrosity that was the runner up. Sooo right about Josh though, I remember being there for Your Country Needs You and thinking "oooooooh fuck" as the lightsaber sound came in :(

Hitstastic did a pretty great mash up of Even If with the Michael Jackson song it rips off, but the original was very plain for me with no particular chorus melody to speak of. The radio edit of Josh's song was even cheesier than the YCNY version, production that even a 1980s Fisher Price kids cassette player would have disowned.

April 8, 201411 yr I really, REALLY wish they'd put a live version up for order on iTunes. The studio version lacks the same oompf that the live versions do. Is it done on purpose? So that those who listen to the studio version before the final, are then thinking "wow, this is actually pretty epic" when it comes to the performance? :drink:
