Ahhh I didn't realise This Flop even made 200! I kne wit'd made the top 200 on itunes for a little while but didn't realise it had been enough to chart.

I don't know what went so wrong for her. Maybe this should have been the follow-up to Good Time to keep momentum.

Call Me Maybe was seen as a novelty song, and after that being massive no-one will ever take her seriously as a popstar. That's the problem. I knew she would seen as a one hit wonder with that type of song. The fact that radio 1 ignored all the follow ups didn't help too.

'This Kiss' was completely average compared to the likes of 'Call Me Maybe' and 'Good Time'. I always wanted 'Tonight I'm Getting Over You' to be released after GT. But she decided to just go with TK. Had TIGOY been given a proper, full push here, it could have gone top 20, easily. But the fact it came literally out of nowhere to get to the peak/success it had, was very surprising!

Also, LDR is more successful than Carly anyway. She was always going to do better, especially considering her song is used in one of the biggest movie hits of the year so far.

Can't wait for Demi on BGT this week, as long as she doesn't sing Skyscraper or something, which is what BGT usually does  Although if it made Skyscraper peak higher than #32 it'd be fine by me.

See, I thought Call Me Maybe was setting her up for a Britney Spears-style career. I thought she was going to have her Hit Me... then follow it with a crap ballad no one really liked (Beautiful/ Sometime) and keep gaining the hits.

But it didn't happen, she released This Flop, didn't understand whya t the time or now, and got flushed in both the US and UK with it and hasn't recovered since. Hope she can come back with a strong hit with the next album. This Kiss was a really good album, but with a bizarre title and obviously overshadowed by her big hit.

I really thought after Good Time too she'd cemented herself as a new popstar, but the release schedule was messed up so it didn't hit number one (like it could have done).

Also, worrying she isnt bigger than Lana, who isn't commercial  SHe may as well become an indie artist at this rate!

Lana Del Rey not commercial? Is the Pope not catholic?

She's had one of the biggest albums of 2012, 2 top ten singles, plus radio 1 and 2 airplay!

I had a feeling she would be a one hit wonder throughout the 'Call Me Maybe' mammoth success, I know I thought the same thing about Katy Perry but I didn't exactly see 'This Kiss' being her 'Hot 'n' Cold'. It was basically because the song was so much bigger than she was. I supposed 'Good Time' renders her a one and a half hit wonder.

I still think she has the potential to turn it around in the future though, I agree the album deserved better as it's pure guilty pleasure pop at its very best (I still BADLY want 'Hurt So Good' to be released :(). She's also totally adorable.

You must have confused the word commercial with successful.

Why did Selena Gomez perform on Graham Norton when her single is not out for ages?would it not have been better to release it on Sunday when the song was fresh in peoples minds..?does this not encourage a lot of people to illegally download it when they cant get it off I tunes?it not out until sometime in July..

Selena's performance had little effect, it put the single back into the top 400 for a day. I'm not sure how this well do... I doubt it will be playlisted either.

Oh, Union J might get number one afterall, their EP Is #27 on iTunes.

25. Jennifer Lopez Feat Pitbull - Live It Up (Looks like this will miss the top 10 after all, it should get top 15 if she performs on BGT tonight)

32. Ellie Goulding - Anything Could Happen

35. Bruno Mars - Treasure

43. Stooshe - Slip (Two weeks top 40... ouch)

51. Ellie Goulding - Explosions

53. The Saturdays Feat Sean Paul - What About Us (OUCH)

58. Iconic Pop Band - I Love It

77. Tich - Dumb (Oh, thas has climbed almost 20 places since this morning)

155. Carly Rae Jepsen - Tonight I'm Getting Over You (This really needs to be reduced in the next 59p batch)

180. The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna (Yeah this is a certain number one, it's already top 10 on Radio Airplay)

Jennifer Lopez is on Scott Mills' Radio 1 show on Thursday afternoon! Maybe Live It Up could get a boost from that? :o
I'm pretty sure Selena's single is going to do at least as well as 'Heart Attack', though it's nowhere near as good.

I agree. It annoys me how people seem to favour it ... theres nothing to it at all.

Oh Jennifer actually has got good promotion... this makes me think she might be on BGT on Thursday then. Radio1, BGT and Graham Norton, maybe she might re-peak next week?

Demi's single was performing a lot better on iTunes and I doubt Selena will get as heavy rotation as Demi. I guess we will have to wait and see though.

Jennifer is on Britain's Got Talent tonight, she confirmed it on Twitter. :D

And I think Selena will go top 10 at this stage, but not do quite as well as Demi. A top 10 single will still be amazing though!

Also, Demi Lovato is on Scott's show tomorrow, so Heart Attack might get a slight boost from that?

 12. Paramore - Still Into You

 14. Demi Lovato - Heart Attack

Jennifer is on BGT tonight, so pretty sure Demi will be on Thursday. Also, Demi is on Alan Carr on Friday, not sure if she's performing, but either way, it should give "Heart Attack" and her album a bit of a push.

I do wonder if it's possible that Demi might get a new album peak next week? She's got album signings, a gig in London, Alan Carr and BGT. Her album is #34 on iTunes though! Hopefully Heart Attack manages to go back top 10 on iTunes.

How can you confuse them, when they mean the same thing in this context?

They really don't.

Girls Can't Catch are commercial, Rush are successful. Hardly one and the same.
