This song SOUNDS really good... I'd love it to be a #1 / top 5 hit with the right backing from radio.

This song is quite similar to her Jessie Ware collab called Aaliyah.

 

I agree it has the potential to be big with radio backing, although topping the success of Katy on a Mission will obviously be difficult.

"Aaliyah" is a fantastic song... I'm still surprised that didn't take off, even if it was just a promo single from an EP.

My gut instinct tells me top 5.

I does sound A LOT like "Aaliyah", which proved to be a 'hit' in the eyes of the media. It's not unique enough, I feel, to generate a big enough interest to challenge for #1; so I reckon #7/8.

 

Any idea when it's released though? Not July surely. Think it'd do well with an OA/OS ish release (i.e. Sunday).

I really like this but I can't see this making number one in a million years! Probably Top 10 and, even if it did receive better success, it's not going to be as "big" as 'Katy on a Mission' or 'Lights On' popularity-wise.

Is it going to do that well though? Even Radio 1 and Katy B said that Aaliyah was the "new" single when she performed it at Radio 1's Big Weekend on Friday. :lol:

 

It is getting night-time Capital and Kiss support though, so I think it has a chance of reaching the Top 20.

Assuming R1 give this loads of support, probably low Top 10 (would love it to beat Lawson and Iggy as the highest new entry, but there's no chance of that sadly)

 

It's a good song, I like it but I can only see it going lower top 10 as SevenSeize has already posted. It's a little bit too derivative to make it stand out enough to make it go top 5.

 

Loved Katy B and her first album. For me, this is doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for me so it's hard for me to judge considering others are raving about it. Sounds like a small top 20 hit but I'm sure I'll be totally wrong!
