I was hoping that there'd be a slightly darker side to this one after her single with Disclosure but if this is anything to go by, I guess that's not happening. I'm a bit disappointed with this, the chorus is a bit of letdown and there's WAY too many pop culture namechecks in there.

 

Her legs are still incredible though :wub:

Nothing beats Pack Up, this could be a grower, I love the lyrics to the track though, I also like Roller Blades which was the track I used for BJSC to introduce Eliza Doolittle :D

It's a fine song but I really don't know how I feel about her being back. Her first album was largely terrible and if this single sounding like a (decent) album track from Pixie Lott's last album is anything to go by, it's going to be the same story this time around too. The Disclosure collab was an excellent move on her part but this single isn't going to get her the "credible" crowd that 'Pack Up' picked up (and that's not the same type of credible that like Disclosure) so I really don't see the album doing much for her. I imagine this single at least will do alright based on her being relevant again but I don't expect to see much of Eliza after this.

I think the single still sounds like an easy top 10 for her, and I think it's really just people simply not being crazy about the woman that's caused the low viewcount so far. Once airplay rises I think it'll do great. I think after seeing this video, depending on her material she might actually get a decent era from this. It really depends on whether or not she has the singles to get more than one hit this time around, though.

It would be better for her to do darker stuff like she did with You & Me with Disclosure.

I've started to love this now too, such random lyrics, the period when she was little seems to stretch from Nirvana (1991) to Malcolm In The Middle (2001) :lol:

 

Melodically it reminds me a lot of Go Outside by Cults, and production-wise it sounds straight out of 2006, the Lily comparison is spot on.
