Are we not getting a 'Thirsty' release? </3 No idea what's going on with the single, so just merged it with the album thread.

Anyway this has leaked now too:

Everything's pointing to a Thirsty release IMO - she's posted its artwork and a remix of it also premiered on radio. I hope it's the single anyway, I really like it.
omg! this album is quite something. It's all her breeziest, tightest '90s melodies wrapped up in super-on point production that somehow sounds both timeless and very contemporary. (Dedicated for instance is so slick but v v throwback with it). The only weak track is You're Mine (Eternal). I finished my first listen and had to go again right then. Fabulous record.

Wonderful album (and the first i've ever listened to fully from her).

'Meteorite' is my early favourite of the ones we haven't heard before but it's all very laid back and pleasant. Can never really get into her proper ballads and it's the same case here, but thankfully there's only a few of those. Glad she turned this campaign around and gave us a good album because it was all looking like a mess a few months ago!

Let me replace 'You're Mine (Eternal)' with the Trey remix :magic:

Just had my listen through also, very much enjoyed it on the whole! My highlights, singles aside, are Faded, You Don't Know What To Do and Meteorite. Some of it's a little bit dull but there's nothing AWFUL there (although, the one with the biggest hot mess potential, ie. Money, hasn't actually leaked yet :P)

So are Almost Home and Triumphant on this album? I didn't see them on the tracklist but they are on the version I have..

Anyways this is a great album on first listen. Much stronger than I was expecting.

Agreed with Jark in that these are breezy, throwback sounds that work very well for her. Her most consistently strong album since 'The Emancipation Of Mimi' for me. Really impressed with this and I'm only on 'You Don't Know What To Do'!

They aren't on there, not sure why they got included on the download

Very disappointed so far, but Memoirs and E-MC2 grew on me, the former being one of my favourite albums now. You Don't Know should have been the lead single, best thing she's done in years.

This review makes me EXCITED to listen.

Oooh so happy "Almost home" and "Triumphant" are on it, I am in the minority but I absolutely LOVE both tracks. "Almost home" is so epic.

I will dig the album more tonight but it sounds pretty solid. I just hope I won't find it dull as a whole.

I have to confess that after playing the album in glorious HQ, You're Mine has been elevated to a festive 7. It really makes much more sense in the context of the album.

This is Mariah Carey's new single to be taken from her 14th studio album Me I Am Mariah Carey - The Elusive Chantuese which is getting released on May 23rd of this month, this album has been four years in the making and was set to be released in 2012, but after series of setbacks and flop singles (Triumpant (Get Em'), Almost Home, The Art Of Letting Go & You're Mine (Eternal) But she did manage a hit last year with #Beautiful with singer Miguel and that will feature on the album, and Thirsty is her latest single set to be released soon and it's quite a decent track and one of the more interesting tracks she has released in a number of years, but I honestly don't know whether or not it will be a success or a big flop, but it is pretty good and if promoted right it may have a chance.

So what are your opinions on this track, do you think that Mariah is still a force to be reckoned with or are her hit making days behind her.
